[Video added] Cybertruck gave its life for us in collision with Ford Explorer

I received the preliminary police report and retrieved the video. We had to break into the glovebox because the battery was damaged (leaking fluid) and the truck is bricked. Turns out the other vehicle was an Expedition not an Explorer, I'm afraid I don't know my late 90's Fords at a glance. I'm glad we have the video to back up my description, because eye witness accounts were all over the place.

But why didn't the airbag deploy?

The front bumper was damaged, the front steel was bent, and the windshield was cracked.
It looks like the driver's side fender is dented as well.

Still, the impact inside the room was very small?
So the airbags didn't deploy?

unfortunately a LOT of people choose to be dramatic and use a situation like this to indulge in thatrics rather than give a factual account. People tend to make stuff up to fill gaps rather than admit "you know, it happened so fast that I can't accurately recall" or "I didn't actually see it, I just heard it and saw the aftermath".

Case studies on "eyewitness testimony" reliability are an incredibly interesting look into the human condition.
