Rear Motor Shutdown!! 14k miles

Well it happened. Rear motor shutdown, 51mph only on front motor right to service center. They took me in right away. Shows on progress in app that the VCLeft Replacement is needed. Don't know what that is but hopefully today it will be done. Thought going with Tesla the product would be more reliable. Dayum only 14k miles??? Back in my Ford POS work truck for the time period! Glad I didn't' sell it yet!!

I hope so. Seems like a lot have been into the shop with same issue is what the tech said. He knew what it was but needed to have the lead tech check it out for sure and he confirmed it is what he thought it was. Now, I wonder what the VCLeft means? Shaft, motor, sensor, electrical?

I’d guess a voltage controller but honestly have no idea. Sucks being down and out @least you have a backup for the time being. Also hope that gremlin is resolved before I get my beast.

Your situation sucks and you’re pissed. Makes sense. I would be too.

Tesla won’t recall entire truck. It’s a great truck. But it’s the “first model year.” People always say not to buy the first model year of anything new if you don’t want some issues.
