Got this error today while out running errands. Immediately diverted to the local service center.
Good times... anyone else see this one?

Quite a few for past a week or two. Wondering what was going on.

I’m about an hour from the closest SC. If this happens to my Beast (that I’m still waiting for) what are my options?

Well, it was still drivable, but at a lower power output (felt about like an ICE truck). Or, you could just call roadside assistance if you aren't comfortable driving it.

One of the benefits of the beast though is that you can still drive it with one or even two motors out and still have it take you where you need to go. It’s a lot of redundancy for failures if you tend to be in the middle of nowhere every time something like this comes up, or even just in a cellular network hole when it happens.

Just food for ordering thought.

Hope the service center can take care of it promptly.

Cheers

had my AWD do the same thing Monday. Used front motor to get to service center. it was the inverter that meltdown and safety barrier cut leads to motor so no fire. they replaced in 14hrs. All good to go.

Glad to hear its a simple fix and they got you going so quickly!
Our service center is slammed and they still haven’t looked at mine yet, 48 hours later. Hopefully today is the day and the parts are easy to get.

I would say similar, not the same. You could have two motors fail on the beast and still have a motor to drive with. If you lose two motors on the dual that’s it. Nothing left.

Chances of losing two at once are admittedly much smaller than losing one but if you are looking for an apocalypsemobile then parhaps it becomes more important.

Having had my one and only motor go out when it died and had to be replaced in my RWD Model S at a really inopportune time in a really inopportune place the idea of more motors to limp with might even appeal to me more than the performance boost with the beast.

YMMV.

Cheers

Hello.

I had this problem today with my foundation CT. I was driving and heard an obvious thunk followed by the message.

Did you heat any noise before you got the warning message?
