After about 2 weeks of ownership, my floor started creaking. The service center says other trucks do the same. It doesn't really bother me to be honest, but it just makes the truck seem cheap whenever you go around a corner or accelerate hard or brake; there's a creek in the floor.

To be more specific, the noise is very loud centered around the middle of the floor and sounds like metal flexing. It is immediately noticeable to all passengers.

That's really vague, tho?

Springs and plastics will make noise as they move, and EVs don't generate as much background noise as ICE so the 'floor' of noise is lower, allowing you to hear things you wouldn't in an ICE powered vehicle.

Not to defend an annoying creak, but... the truck is supposed to be cheap.

How do you know its the floor? I hear a slight creak, I'm trying to figure out where its coming from I just assumed its the seat?

sounds like yours is in the no category you would know what I'm talking about if yours was making the same sound. It's Extremely Loud and noticeable to all passengers, I updated my original description as well to make it a little less vague. It's hard to clearly articulate what the noise is coming from as Tesla does not know either what the noise is coming from.

I started having those noisea after off roading for a couple of hours. It does sound like metal flexing somewhere, couldn't find it by pushing stuff around. Planning on getting it serviced but not sure if they can fix it...

I think we have the same issue, mine is pretty loud when turning, no noise during acceleration or deceleration though.

Mine was coming from either back center or a
Back passenger area. To it to SC cause why not.. and they were able to address/fix it with no charge. Noticed immediately turning out of the driveway there how quiet it was and was just like Woh.

Hearing it quite it was now.. Made me realize how loud it was since I was just used to it.. kinda hard to explain lol. But even if it doesn’t bother you (like I thought it didn’t bother me).. worth getting fixed trust me. You will be happy you did.

I have an appointment next week, I had it in once already for it but it was the first time they'd had one at the service center, which coincidentally they had a second one in for a battery replacement at the same time. Apparently both of our trucks made in the same noise so they didn't bother fixing mine. But it's allowed enough noise I can't believe that everybody was having the same issue and nobody talking about it. Thanks for your help I'll definitely be having a fix it and letting them know that it is repairable. I have a good service center so I don't blame them for not fixing it the first time.

Mine had the same problem. Service center took care of it by tightening some bolts underneath the truck. One of the skid plate covers or something wasn’t tightened enough.

Well thank you so much for the info! I will definitely let the service center know! Be nice to get that fixed! Thanks again that really is exactly the info I was hoping to get.

Yeah, you’re welcome assuming it’s the same problem as certainly an easy fix and I’ll tell you once it was fixed. It was such a relief because it was so annoying to hear every time you accelerated and decelerated kind of sounds like what you were talking about.

When I turn the wheel while moving the creaks are enormously loud and annoying. Had it it once to fix it, didn’t fix it at all. Dropped it off today to address it again. When you sit in either front seat you can shimmy your body and get the creaks to happen. Hope they get it taken care of.

Mine started creaking on flex/turns as well a few weeks ago, drove me crazy. Did some reading as well and found like others, that stuffing some stuff between the very bottom carpet and center console plastic made it silent again, odd. Guess it places upwards pressure on that bottom plastic piece or something. So try that, pull up your rear mat, and stuff something in that spot. I folded literally some paper towels, squeezed them in strong between carpet and plastic at bottom of center console and its been quite now again for a few weeks.
