Anyone else claim to have this experience with the steering? I don’t think I believe this guy.

Any vehicle with power steering will have lag when you turn back and forth rapidly. I would venture to say cybertruck has les lag than legacy automated vehicle.. even with full on mechanical steering and no power steering you can have lag. Traditionally cars would develop more play in the wheel as the car aged. With Cybertruck it’s likely to improve with software. I really don’t see how they can improve it though. I love it.

Right? Not to mention there's a bunch of mechanical lag in a conventional car - the slack between the teeth of the gears - that's just not going to happen at the same level in a Cybertruck.

Took my first test drive 2 days ago. I take delivery soon. I was giggling like a school girl before I got out of the parking lot. I wasn't like that because I was just excited to be "in a CT". The steering response is UNREAL. Feeling the entire 6800lb vehicle pivot from the front AND back was unlike anything i have ever experienced in my driving days. EVER!

It was not dizzying. It was not disorienting. Just quiet responsiveness and the feeling of a lot of power/control.

Seems pretty not legit to me, cause that wasn't my experience at all. But I don't even respond to people who reflect negative things about Tesla that they heard in the media. I just say something like, "oh wow, I should look into that" and try to change the subject.

I prefer a tight lipped smile or eye roll to a comment that might encourage them to continue reaching out with more FUD.

Does anyone believe this? In other words, has anyone else felt this way?
Smells like BS to me, but I’m open to being told otherwise here by genuine owners of a CyberTruck. Sure hasn’t been my experience. In fact, it’s the exact opposite from my experience.

Note, this was in the responses to an online hit-piece article about the CyberTruck reportedly “raising their prices by $20,000” (totally false claim). A link to the article is posted in another thread started by another member. Anyway, it makes me wonder if it’s a phony claim.

My Cybertruck is in service and they gave me a 2023 model X plaid and I hate driving it mostly because of the steering. It feels laggy and awkward after driving the Cybertruck. At least it has FSD still I can’t wait to get my truck back. I think the Cybertruck has better seats and suspension as well.

It could be a legit review, after all, there are plenty of cases of people getting dizzy from perfectly fine air just because somebody else said they were dizzy. But my bet is it’s a trolling hit piece.

I’m not a CT owner but I’ve done several CT test drives and have a lot of 3, X, and Y time. And the CT’s steering is SO prime time and so superior that all the other manufacturers are panicking.
Totally agree on the steering! It’s great!
