Two months later, no spare tire despite two service appts. BUT I received a Model X Plaid loaner while going in to get other things addressed.

Ordered my spare wheel and tire on 6/17, original service appointment for installation was July 12th. That got delayed to today, Aug 14th, because "parts were not available." Well, imagine my surprise when I went in today only to find they created a new appointment for me (with no date or time) to get the spare wheel and tire installed removing it from my current list of things "to do". Aggravating, yes, because I'll have to go back again.

On the flip side, I've been provided this Model X Plaid loaner with heavily tinted windows, free supercharging (like all loaners) and FSD. Hopefully they can fix my tonneau that now doesn't close (alignment issue that's been getting worse and worse), my vault divider that doesn't lock into place and a few rando software errors I received a few weeks ago that never came back (rear camera unavailable) while I tool around in this.

Turning and turning the yoke got old fast on my 7 mile drive back home from the service center, what is this? The 1900's?

My truck is also in service for a couple minor tweaks (scratches on the frunk hood at delivery, and the frunk closed lower on the right side than the left). They gave me a loaner dual motor Model Y, and it's amazing how flimsy it feels to drive compared to the truck.

The truck was my first Tesla, so I didn't know what the Tesla norm was. The MY is fun, for sure, but I didn't realize how smooth and quiet the truck is inside until I drove the MY. Now I appreciate it even more.

On a side note, they said that they needed to email Tesla engineering about the frunk and were waiting on a response. I figured it was simply a matter of adjusting the stops, but I guess engineering wants to know about the condition and placement of what's coming off the line?

In any case, it doesn't bother me as this is one of the the points of the Foundation Series.

I had my spare tire about 10 days ago in lynnwood WA but the tool kit was broken ( i didn't see it i was told). SC said they will schedule a mobil service when the tool kit arrives.

How long was the time from your Tesla Shop order to delivery/installation? Two+ months is feeling ridiculous. Why would they be listed 'in stock' (for a few minutes) in the Tesla Shop if they are not in stock at all? That's what I find baffling.

Same experience.. 2 reschedules and this week they addressed all 3 recalls but created an appointment for Sep 12th to get it tire "installed". I don't trust that date though.

actually it was nothing to be installed. They just throw a naked tire in my truck bed. No tools no cover no tire down

At this moment I don’t really care the other stuffs since most likely I will let AAA to change the tire if needed. I just don’t want be stranded waiting for the tire order
