Cybertruck simcard location

Hi, I have a Cybertruck in a gray area. I’m looking forward to installing the physical SIM card to the Cybertruck, but I can’t find it.

Is there any information about it on the web or forum?

It may not have a physical SIM at all. eSIMs are everywhere now.

Interesting idea though, setting up your own data plan.

In other Teslas the SIM is in the Telematics Control Unit. However I am unsure if the CT has a SIM or if it is a an E-SIM

Well, M3,MY, etc., have a SIM port for the gray area since eSIM doesn’t work here, but the Cybertruck, since it has a new HW4, I can’t find it.

Thought, wrecked CT with the lifetime connection… snag the sim insert into phone and Tesla pay the bill. Surly they prevent this by deactivating at some point.

Gray area Tesla or CT doesn’t use USA data plan. We need to put a physical SIM card and pay an internet data plan besides the premium connectivity from Tesla.

Tesla has their own sim management portal as part of att BMIOT, they’ll deactivate any sims that are using more data than average. As long as you keep the data limited to streaming once in a while and light Facebook usage, you should be good. No calling or texting though as it’s data only.

Hello Guys any idea how to replace sim card or activate my own esim on a cybertruck ? I was told that i may be able to register a new esim via toolbox, is this true ? Can anyone please help?
I asked tesla support and no one helps. I ship my own tesla cybertruck To Lebanon but the data plan premium connectivity does not work, even tesla does bot offer travel roaming package, maps are fine and also no navigation it says not supported region, anyone can help install or activate new sim card ?

The CT uses an eSIM. Other teslas have procedures to activate third party sims in toolbox, but that isn’t documented yet for the CT (or maybe not enabled for non Tesla use). Why not just use a mobile hotspot and leave the truck WiFi on? That’s less expensive and way easier than even a 1-day subscription to toolbox (for a feature that might not be enabled or even work for the eSIM you have).
