I had a similar problem, but then I cleaned the actual wiper blade and the issue went away.

Figure I would throw that option out there...

Yep I noticed this after I washed the car and used the wiper.

Also the washer fluid comes out inconsistent and way too little to be effective.
I’m scared to even use it after the first time I tried it! It was basically going over a dry window and I was just waiting for it to rip the wiper .

Just do it. A dry wipe isn't going to damage anything.

Sure, it won't instantly ruin it or break it, but I avoid dry wiping as much as possible because it wears the square corners off the wiper blade. The same is true of window squeegees, ask any professional window washer. The squeegee needs a sharp corner edge to wipe most effectively. When wet wiping that edge has lubrication to avoid abrading it, when dry the abrasion is much more.

Yep, I've never had a car that didn't get a contaminated windshield or wiper blade that caused smearing occasionally. I'm not sure what contaminates it, you can't really see it except for the way it causes the water to smear, but it gets on there and you either have to give it a good decontamination cleaning or, if you ignore it it will eventually go away on its own (but it might take a very long time to break down).

Yeah exactly, it is definitely a weird problem.

That's not a thing modern wipers will do. They're fine on dry glass.

The fear for me is when it's time to replace. I'm fairly sure NAPA and Walmart won't carry that blade :ROFLMAO: Due to winter and magchloride, I usually replace wipers once a year or two. I guess it will be off Tesla's web site. I cringe to think the cost.

I hate to be that guy that tells you to read the manual, but I kind of have to here.

The Big-Ass Wiper is only $75 shipped to your door. Just order replacements on your Tesla App.

I drive through a lot of magnesium chloride de-icer and, sure, it makes a white mess when it dries on your car and the windshield perimeter, but I've never noticed it causing my wiper blades to wear out. My Performance Model 3 lives mostly outside year around (half covered by a carport roof) and drives through that de-icer every winter and the wipers still work great 35,000 miles and 6 years later. I would order new ones if it would improve vision in the rain because it rains a LOT around here. But the original blades still work great. My wife has a Model 3 the same age and almost never drives through de-icer. She had Tesla replace her blades once in 109,000 miles and six years. Her car is parked in direct sun more than mine (and her wipers have made almost three times as many strokes).

Sunlight UV radiation is what wears out wiper blades, not magnesium chloride. I mean, when it gets on your windshield you have to run the sprayer and wiper, right? That washes it off as it deposits.

On the early Model 3 and Model Ys with lead acid batteries, my batteries had to be replaced before the wipers did, multiple times. Wait? Have I even changed the wipers after 6 years?

Huh? Read what I wrote. I was saying it's a very normal problem that I've had on every car or truck I've ever owned occasionally.
Sorry, I misread.

For some reason I don’t see the cybertruck wiper in my app. Is it somewhere weird? I see every other vehicle’s wiper blades when I search.

It looks like they took the wiper listing down. It could be a temporary shortage, and they diverted them to keep production lines running normally.
