Right, but how many miles have you got on your ICE pickup truck that weighs ~7,000lbs with 845hp and 35” AT tires, haha!!
yeah, I have a 2500 diesel with 35x12.5 - weights 8k (but only makes 400/800) - but tires last 50k miles. My (sold) M3P tires lasted about 15k miles for the oem summer perf tires. Have 5k on my beast, average 450usage - will go check, hoping for at least 15k but it is what it is.

Wow. Pay to play...
My boring Escalade gets 60,000+ on a set.
Will be interesting to see over time if different tires can last longer.

At 6251 miles the H speed rated tire on the Cyberbeast is down to 5/32 and 4/32 with irregular degradation.

Got my Cyberbeast on June 25th. Truck has always been driven ONLY on streets and highways. Never taken off road. Never hit top speed of 132 mph. Yes did experience the beast mode and 0 to 60 in 2.6 a few times.
Yesterday I was going to go to get tires rotated as recommened in the manual at 6250. Truck is a t 6251 miles AND.... I noticed tread is low.

I measured it. 5/32 on rears and 4/32 on fronts. WOW! That's insane!

I did some research and the H speed rated tire has a sticker rubber. But for it to last just 6K to 7K miles on the Cybebeast has to be a manufacturing defect. These tires are specially made for the Cybebeast so for them to be this bad is unforgivable. I have an appointment on Oct 1st to discuss this with TESLA.

Check out the photos at 6251 miles.

The texted me no warranty on my tires. So I guess I have to replace them soon.
Good news is your new tires *will* be under warranty. Hang on to that receipt you will use it!

Besides the torque, the suspension and drive-by-wire also contribute (at least it does for me). I bet you barely slow down when turning right on green ..and keep your lane - just because you can. It is a fun flex but eats tires.

I used to only get 7500 miles in my AMG SUV. One time only 2000 miles in the cold months. It was all wheel drive to you cannot spin the wheels.

Turns out I was just driving like an a-hole. It’s like I was a BMW driver.

Did you previously drive a BMW?

I had a 2013 Model S. It was the performance version (P85+) with 21” rims and low-profile, soft, sticky tires. I think the car weighed 5000 lbs or thereabouts. I had to change my rear tires every year @ $500 each installed, and my fronts every other year @ $500 each for an average of $1500 a year in tires. I put < 7000 miles on them before they needed changing. I did NOT have a heavy foot, either. That got old after four years, so I got a 2017 Model 3 (LR) without “sport” tires and never had to replace them in 30,000 miles (although I did rotate them once). I guess I’m getting old & practical - but if those AT (?) tires are trying to manage a 7000 lb monster with gobs of torque and HP, it might not be a defect in manufacture. I’m not saying it isn’t, but the Cyberbeast is a lot to manage for any tire, and a 7000-mile replacement is not unheard of.

So... buy the Cyberbeast ... but drive it like a Fiat Punto? :giggle:... I am getting "S" rated 50K warranty tires. Apparently there are no "H" rated tires that have any kind of warranty. I will keep this set to use for drag racing I guess. :ROFLMAO:. Use the other set as my daily driver.
No… buy the Cyberbeast, have fun and expect tire wear. But don’t whine about tires if you drive it harder.

Yes… get the 50k warranty ?. At least if you burn through tires at 10k, you get 40k prorated to the next set. That exactly what I’m gonna do ?. That way you get your 50k of value from the tire, no matter how fast they burn out.

I have over 8,000 miles on my beast and the tires look like new.

This also my first Tesla. I have tried beast mode also, but usually use chill.

I noted his tires appear to have flatter tread spots. This is not from faulty tires. This is totally an I/O problem.

Sorry if mentioned up thread, but is wear even between inside edge and outside edge? I torched rears in my Plaid in 8K miles because the stock alignment has a bit of camber dialed-in for performance (and I really like the Plaid animation). Downside is that you cord the insides pretty fast. Makes me wonder if Beast alignment is different than AWD and/or if your preferred ride height changes suspension geometry.

Also, what is the Tesla price to replace a set of CT AT tires? Looks like around $500/each for tires at TireRack, which doesn’t seem too bad.

@santoshm, the OEM AT tires also have less tread depth than the similar version from Goodyear, so that takes some miles off as well. If you get any other AT tires, they'll probably last much longer since they'll have deeper tread and will probably be a harder compound.

Please don’t tell me we need to change CT tires every 7K miles with just normal city and highway driving! All the savings on ICE maintenance will go in just replacing the tires. My BMW flat tires last for at least 30K and Porsche lasted for 40K!

Could other CT owners please share their data points for CT? I know it varies a lot based on the driver and driving mode, but it’ll be good to get an approximate ballpark on the longevity of CT tires. I hope it’s better than 7K miles!!
I just replaced my second set of tires, so I am now on my 3rd set. 2022 Model YP, 88K miles. I find taking turns and corners chill-style and min. tire pressure of 42 psi when cold results in very even wear, front to rear also.
