Yes this has been a common issue. Open the frunk and there is a nut that is loose that holds this piece in place. Haven't had to do it on mine but seen this reported at least a dozen times.

Mine popped out too two weeks ago but had a SC appt. Gonna take it in again but they said "within spec" last time as it wasn't a specific spot, it was supposed to be to fix doors etc which are also within spec despite the lines not flush. Changing SC for next appt. Kennesaw leaves much to be desired.

DO IT NOW!
I didn't and didnt realize the bolt fell off and the entire a trim bent.

It requires a small torx wrench but tbh manually do it if you have to.
Remove the plastic frunk cover and you can peel back the rubber trim.
Common issue but I thought they fixed it with locitite

FYI on this front sail trim fix - it is secured with an 8mm bolt, not a torx

Best if you use a racheting open-end wrench to tighten. I used a flat blade screw driver to pry and hold interior trim away for access. No interior trim panels in funk need to be removed.

I can also confirm there is factory yellow Loctite on the threads. My but was loose, so I lossened it a bit more, added red Loctite to threads and tightened.
You can also realign the stainless sail trim while doing this to make it perfect if not already to your liking.
If you loosen the nut, be careful not to loosen too much and drop that nut into the body cavity!
Checked driver side too using same process and it was super tight.
When done, it lines up quite well indeed.

Passenger side panel had the same issue. Was easy to get a ratcheted wrench in without opening the front trunk. A decent flashlight you can see it behind the rubber by the windshield.

Thanks for this. I have one that is loosening up so I'm going to give it a try. I have an appointment at Kennesaw in October. From other comments in this thread, it doesn't sound like they will help me.

Can you take a pic so we can see the area you are referring to? if it’s the piece I am thinking about it,may have adhesive.
