I ordered the Powershare bundle on June 27th, using up my $2500 Cybetruck voucher. Finally received the Powershare Gateway 3V today, but no sign of the bidirectional charger. The invoice from the Tesla store doesn't mention the charger. I see some others have the same question/issue. What is the resolution?
From previous posters I got this link https://www.tesla.com/contactus to send a support message. After about 5 days I got an email end they said I should be getting it and of August and I'm still waiting. I ordered the bundle back in July 20. Received the Wall connector but no powershare

The way I read this was to get with QMerit and get in the system for the contracted installer.
You’d get a quote, and determine if you’re moving forward.

Brief overview of what I’ve seen + seeing others quotes:
1. They can possibly come back with a pretty highquote based on your setup. Like more than $6K
2. You’re taking pictures and sorting out critical loads, AC units, Sub panels
3. You may be a distance away from your panel, seems to be a comms wire that may need to exist between the wall connector and the gateway.
4. General install space/access etc obstacles

I’ve been in a queue to find someone since early July. No further updates.

So I didn’t go further with the voucher as I believe we have a year, and if this doesn’t work out, I have to pivot to a plan B by running out the truck, to my well pump, and any house loads in a outage. Which is totally fine, it would just be nice to have it semi-automatic. But I tried to be realistic with a 71’ electrical system and some challenges getting electrical talent in the woods haha.

UPDATE:

I can now report that my Gateway will arrive Thursday of this week.

l'll add to this thread with pics and a summary of how my install goes, immediate performance afterwards, and anything I can learn that might help others.
PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!

Gateway arrived. I have the 3V as opposed to the V3 (super distinct naming convention by Tesla. How could anybody be confused?) which means this will or will not work with a dual Powerwall 3 (and of course universal charger) install?

And when you are so kind as to help answer that question, please clairify if "not work" means "not right away while we await some software update" or "never and you are screwed, if you open the inner box because Tesla will not accept an open box return."

From reading other threads it seems like V3 can work with Powerwalls but some sort of master vs slave override has to configured in the Powerwalls?

I also think I know that I don't need the Gateway to get the job done, but apparently the Gateway can supply up 22-24kVA which is more than enough for my entire house so that I don’t need to have the installers add and charge me for a sub/grid-fail panel. Yep, I'm one of those middle-income, low energy-consumption, slobs who paid more for the truck then I did my house (not adjusted for inflation).

And you are correct to assume my "Tesla Certified" installers could answer my questions, but let's just say it feels like the blinded leading the blind, right now. And since the schedule install is Sept 9-11 (includes 36 400W PVs) there might be tine to exchange the Gateway? ...If the V3 is the wrong one to accompany a Powerwall 3 setup?

Please help me if you can. I don't mean to burden you with lots of typing.

I'm happy to reread other threads if you think they can explain the difference between V3 and 3V well enough, if I just keep re-reading.

P.S. My Great Dane "puppy" is just as confused as I am. I guess I should have gotten a Border Collie? Apparently they make better electricians?

Cheers!

See the VERY fine print? It confirms V3.

P.P.S Is it true that I can't go looking for additional instructions or any other useful documentation inside the inner box without voiding the return policy?

I have a similar issue. Received the Universal Wall Connector but not Gateway 3V (who knows why it's not V3).

Tesla Powerwall Support redirected me to Tesla Shop support, which does not have a phone line nor a chat option. Only email. It took them a week to get back to me with a vague response that they will let me know when Gateway ships.

Fortunately the installer I contracted (Faraday Electric) offered to install one of their gateway 3v from inventory and then pick up mine when it arrives. If you have not contracted an installer, you may try talking to them.

The install went well and wall connector works. However the Gateway fails to register. Tesla app shows an error message that the Gateway is already registered with another account. Installer is not sure what the problem is but claim it happened to other customers. I've been trying to reach Tesla Power Share support since Friday. Waited 20 minutes on their phone support line on Friday and 40 minutes today (Monday).

Finally connected to Tesla Power Share support today. We walked through registration information and their conclusion was that the installer did not commission it correctly and need to come back to re-commission.

Since Power Share launched in March, we are apparently caught in the user testing cycle of a new product that was not tested very well prior to launch. Hope they tested the Truck itself better :)

Same situation here. Got my wall charger last month, but nothing regarding my gateway. Thank you for posting the email contact instructions above! I've sent Tesla an email asking when the gateway will ship out. Hoping for it soon as hurricane season is upon us here in Florida.

Well that was interesting. I opened up the support link last night, filled it out, and got an email not long after with a tracking number in it. Turns out the gateway was out for delivery yesterday and was dropped off by UPS around 8pm EST last night. So I have both the wall charger and the gateway in hand now.

Upon opening up the box, I don't see any manual. There's a QR code on the front panel, but that opens up the Tesla app and says invalid code. I was hoping to browse through the manual. Does anyone have a link to a digital version perhaps?

Edit:

I think I found an install guide online (which was embedded in the Powerwall installation guide).

I just got my gateway installed. They wanted to charge me $1200 extra plus labor to put in the universal wall charger because my existing one was a regular gen3. I haggled them down to $720 extra total.

Was this supposed to be included??

I was in the exact same situation. A few more details in my earlier post:
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...teway-do-you-have-yours-yet.19690/post-390223
Update:
It took almost a week of calls and messages between Tesla support, the certified installer and myself to figure out the problem with the Gateway setup. The installer had to come back onsite and work through it with Tesla on the line. Took 2-3 hours of tinkering with software configs. Finally tested it successfully in both directions. One of the steps was to enable Backup charging in the truck itself. There is a toggle under the Charging screen that needs to be turned on. Supposedly there should be a similar toggle in the Tesla app on iPhone, but that never showed up in my case.

Clearly Tesla is still debugging Power Share with substantial help from installers and end users. Not entirely surprising for a completely new hardware and software product that has been on the market for a few moths. According to the installer, Elon firing the whole Tesla Charging team also caused hiccups during the transition of responsibilities to the Tesla Energy team.

If all works well from now on with minimum maintenance, I would rate Power Share as a fairly successful launch.

I got my Universal Wall Charger about a month ago and just got an email (8/30) that the PowerShare Gateway has shipped.

Like a few others here, I received the powershare gateway but not the universal wall charger. I didn't realize it until I wrote the installer saying I was ready to go, and he asked me if I received two shipments or one. I opened the box that I thought had both items, but only the gateway was there.

I think there was a glitch with their system for a few days that affected quite a few of us. In fact, I wrote them shortly after I placed my order confirming that both were included, because only the gateway was shown on the order details. They confirmed that both were included.

I replied to that email just a few minutes ago telling them that I only received the gateway. I also opened up a new support ticket.

I'll update once I hear back.

Ok, so I heard back from Tesla after 8 days. They said sorry, we're shipping the Universal Wall Charger and I'll get tracking when it ships. This was Wednesday. I haven't received tracking yet and it's not in my order history, but I feel pretty confident it will ship relatively soon. So for now, it seems like the issue is resolved.

I had the exact same result, although I did receive shipping information a couple days later and it should be here tomorrow. Clearly this was a widespread issue (relatively) at some point of time.

I ordered in 1st hour of getting the voucher email and got my Universal Wall Charger in a few days. Still no shipping info on the Gateway. Has anybody received theirs yet? Do you at least have shipping info?

Did you have to approve your quote to get those delivered. I'm waiting to approve, still deciding. But if I can get those delivered without approving, it'll make things much easier for me.

Agreed, definitely widespread. It showed up a couple days later. Now I'm just waiting on a date from the installer. Closer...
