PowerShare Gateway 3V and two Universal Wall Connectors

I have a powershare gateway 3V and one universal wall connector working perfectly. I would like to add a second universal wall connector to the existing 60 amp circuit in the gateway (daisy chain the two wall connectors). My question is what is needed for the communication wire that connects the gateway to the universal wall connector? At the moment the communication wire is only connected from the gateway to the first universal wall connector, but how to add the second universal wall connector? Can you (and do you need to) daisy chain the communication wire (RS-485) to the second universal wall connector?

Also will I then be able to use either universal wall connector to backup the house?

That setup (dual backup) is not currently supported.
It may never be, or could require additional electronics to handle two 12V sources and commumication selection.

Two UWC on the same 60A would require group power management. Which may also be incompatible with Powershare.

I suspected that (no daisy chain on the communication wire then?) - darn.

If I were to only use the one UWC for backup (with the connected comm wire) then perhaps I could at least use the other UWC (on the same 60 amp circuit) to charge another vehicle then (using group power management).

I suppose at a minimum I would need to wire another 60 amp circuit to the gateway (and only use one of the UWC's for backup).

There's no reason they couldn't support it eventually, but there's not currently open communications ports, is there?

Tesla tends not to release lesser used configurations at first (or at all).

I think you're breaking new ground.
Setting up the second UWC on its own circuit with Dynamic Power Management might be an option.

RS485 is multi drop, so extra ports aren't needed, just extra addresses.
However, Group Power Management uses WiFi, so hardwired ports aren't an issue anyway.

I was on power share for two Teslas. My install is currently being scheduled for backup power. Instead of the Tesla power share, they are adding a switch outside of the Tesla system to support two vehicles. The only difference is the truck will fill to the chosen state of charge, then my Model 3 will charge second. There is no load share, rather one vehicle has priority.

Option two was spend $5k to upgrade my box. This solution works fine for me, so I would rather save the money.
