Starlink Installs on Cybertruck - Post Yours! 🛰️

Windshield spot is almost perfect. I bought the much shorter usb-c to barrel cable to connect to the USB-c outlet at the front console.

I tried the roof glass, it works but i was afraid it could fall off, and the speed seem slower than windshield spot, not sure it was due to the tinted glass or the flat mount.

Love your setup. I think I am going to buy the USB-C cable and do the same thing as you.

Question... What is the bandwidth like when you drive east or west? I am assuming the connection drops off completely when you drive south?

The last picture i attached was driving south from Richmond BC to US boarder. Actually during whole day driving ( from Seattle to Vancouver), the only time the connection dropped was in the tunnel under Fraser River between Richmond and Delta. My wife was working at the back seat and VPN was very sensitive to the Internet connection drop. starlink mini seem does not care about the direction much.

This is great to hear and definitely gives me more confidence in my Starlink Mini. Also, I love your wife's mobile office setup! That table looks like it fits perfect back there. Sorry to ask more questions, but do you have any details about that table, like where I can get one?

This table is the almost perfect fit size wised I could find with no wheels installed. But you do need to tire it to the front seat ( one top and one bottom) to secure it. It was surprisely stable, my wife had no problem coding at the back seat. She needs more leg room instead of a keyboard tray but i can easily add it for my need.

And you can tell the PVC pipe at backof table was intented for the starlink mount as well.

This is my setup; using a 3d printed mount (shoutout r/tman2747) I have connected the mini with the pipe adapter to the passenger side top roof rack location. This allowed me to power the mini via the 48VDC powerfeed (Anderson connectors). I typically keep the mount on but remove the mini if going on the highway but if off-roading/staying low speed in town I’ll keep everything installed. Surprisingly strong due to the direction the wind hits the dish (have gone >80mph apparent winds) and the speeds and connection are stable.

I'll be selling a 3D printed mount in white or black for Starlink Mini starting this Saturday which I have been using in my Cybertruck, mounted on the inside upper glass above the back seat area. It's built with ASA filament which is meant for automotive applications since it can easily withstand all in-cabin temperatures and moisture. It has 4 industrial-grade clamping suction cups that can hold 5x the weight of the Starlink Mini. I will post a link once I have it live for anyone interested.

It would be great if someone developed a non-permanent Starlink Mini exterior mount designed for the Cybertruck that doesn't require you to have a roof rack.

It's not the Starlink Mini, but I welded up a mount to use with our gen3 dish while camping or tailgating.
