I believe there is a storage spot for the Tesla Bot right behind the steering wheel. :)
Robotaxi Tesla eliminates the robot altogethe, perhaps leaving a sorta “Intel inside” vibe.

The robot won’t be needed for driving, just a good place to store it when transporting it.

Well what about optimus driving non FSD cars? It would be weird I think, but would work.
Actually at $20k a pop it's cheaper than most autosteer setups for tractors...

At the rate FSD prices are rising, it'll be cheaper to get the 'bot.

Although, I doubt the Tesla bot will have driving in its lists of tasks it can perform. At least not at first, possibly never.

I suppose the question is what happens first. Optimus learns to drive vehicles safely with regulatory approval, or non-FSD vehicles die out, leaving no vehicles for Optimus to drive anyway.

Depends I guess on the goal of the antenna.

Tesla could make a weird sort of grid infrastructure with Teslas being the ground stations. Your phone would talk through your car which connects to satellite. Traditional phone calls would be VOIP. Everything else, straight wifi.

Still seems unlikely, but maybe.

Starlink already supports wifi calling, which is where the cell provider allows you to make calls over wifi when you don't have cell coverage. We use Starlink like that already.

As for using CT and Starlink as ground based cellular towers, this is also possible with LTE and 5G hardware emulating a picocell. They can also form a mesh network to distribute coverage.

I have the RV Starlink in the portable backpack - good for camping in RV, home outages and will use when taking the truck (current) or cyber (future) off-road camping - bit more flexible when not built in and if you have multiple vehicles, etc...but would be cool integrated, not sure worth the additional subscription price though, at least for me.

Starlink dish hats for Optimus? Maybe.

But I'd like to see solar Optimus first. He could probably fit around 100-150W on the body area, and have a solar angel/bat wing add on backpack with about 4-600W and an extra self-swappable battery? That way it can leave the backpack outside to charge, and swap as needed. Or use the panels to provide shade on sunset walks along the beach...

The first add on has to be a sonic screwdriver though, surely. :)
