Frankly it's a very useful feature, even in the old iteration. I have a 2018 model s that has it. Works great.I never used in on my model S. But it was fun to show people.
I think it’s more important for Tesla because they will be adding point to point FSD (someday) and it’ll be important to finish a drive.
I trusted it fine, but for me, pulling up and backing into the spot in one fluid motion and being perfectly aligned was so much faster than waiting for it to recognize a spot, then start backing in, then stoping and pulling forward, then backing again. And it was never parallel within the lines. I felt like Austin Powers. ?Frankly it's a very useful feature, even in the old iteration. I have a 2018 model s that has it. Works great.
Problem isn't the feature, it's the user. Most people have trust issues and if you can overcome that then you'll find that it's more useful than you care to admit.
I am beginning to feel like some sort of left-handed step child as I am still waiting for it to pop in over the air waves….looking forward to playing with it.I trusted it fine, but for me, pulling up and backing into the spot in one fluid motion and being perfectly aligned was so much faster than waiting for it to recognize a spot, then start backing in, then stoping and pulling forward, then backing again. I still have to adjust my own parking sometimes, but more rare
Fair. I've had many occasions when it has done this and I've gotten impatient. However I've also had many successful executions. Hopefully ASS will park better.I trusted it fine, but for me, pulling up and backing into the spot in one fluid motion and being perfectly aligned was so much faster than waiting for it to recognize a spot, then start backing in, then stoping and pulling forward, then backing again. Not sure how many folks this has gone out to yet, but I am in the same boat as you, waiting to try it outI am beginning to feel like some sort of left-handed step child as I am still waiting for it to pop in over the air waves….looking forward to playing with it.
I thought it's taking long for this release! I guess I'm not the last one.Still waiting on the first auto park release. Lol
Isn't that all of us?What about the rest of us Foundation owners. Let’s go!
You impress easilyIt parallel parked like a 16 year old, took about 80 seconds to do it with a total of 3 shifts into forward, and was a little crooked when it finished, BUT… It parked itself in a way that wouldnt get towed. It didn’t hit the car behind me or the wall... I’m very impressed.
