Just got it this morning.

Turns: Seems pretty smooth, but not as accurate as the Model S. While getting onto a highway, the truck slightly drove over a sloped curb on a turn on the way into work this morning because it cut the turn too short.

Lane: It seems to frequently drive on the solid line on a curve. I also had it drive on the line on the highway. Always seems to huge the solid line.
Note: I have this same issue with auto-park, it's just not very accurate in between the lanes.

Distance: I need to look at follow distance; it seems to follow the car in the front more closely than the Model S.

Overall: Love it. Excited for more updates. So glad I got FSD for the truck. The truck is already fun to drive, this makes it a lot better.

I also felt like it was following a bit too closely, but this was in rush hour where breathing-room is scarce.

I kept thinking "why is it so damn slow??" and then realized "oh... it's going the speed limit"

Just had my first CT FSD run. Pretty nice. Only 3 issues though. When turning left it sensed a median that had a sloped front (normal 5 inches but slopes to 2 inches at front) so it took a tight turn and something went wrong and then it slammed on the brakes.

The other issue was that the following distance is too close at times. automatic slowing down was too slow in my opinion and it came up to the car in front way too fast (im sure it would have stopped, but way too fast to be slowing down.

The last issue is i let Tesla decide the speed which is comfortable and it was going Max speed but almost ran though a speed camera which even slowing down since it was slightly above the speed limit.

Other than that it rocks so far.

I would like to figure out how to set the follow distance for FSD. I know TCC you can set it but does that carry over to FSD?

Immediately ran my Test Loop which I've been using for FSD for almost 3 years now. It nailed the loop on its first try!

In town I noticed it was braking a bit later than I normally would in the truck, and it follows much closer to vehicles in front while at stop lights than I normally would, but it didn't do anything unsafe. In fact the very difficult unprotected left out of my neighborhood and the immediate traffic circle afterwards were handled without any issue. The 30 minute drive from my house to the test loop was handled 100% by FSD without any intervention of any kind. And the speed offset seems to be even better than it was in 12.5.2.1 and 12.5.4 in my other Teslas.

So far, I'm super excited. I have seen the videos from Omar, Chris and Chuck where the truck seems to take left turns in a very odd manner, but I haven't experienced that(yet?). Will be doing more driving in about an hour, and hope to get a chance to do a video of the CT using FSD through the city, and want to make a longer-form video about a drive I have coming up.

This is my first experience with this type of driving aid. First, wow! I was impressed. This is why I bought a Tesla. Not perfect. It drives more aggressively than I do. It follows closer than I like to. It seems to hug the left side of the lane closer than I normally do, but maybe that is a personal idiosyncrasy.

I will adapt to using it. One thing I learned is it doesn’t react as proactively as I do when other cars on the road drift out of their lane into the trucks lane. When I responded to this with my own steering inputs, the wheel meet my inputs with resistance, then suddenly responded. This caused the truck to swerve, as it suddenly turned more than expected and then I corrected in the opposite direction. On wet slippery roads this potentially could cause a spin. It would be better to tap the breaks to disengage the system, then make the steering correction. That’s what I intend to do from now on.

Have any tips on how you’ve adapted your driving to make effective use of this capability?

Has anyone found a way to set the following distance/aggressiveness?

My wife had similar issues with FSD when she was starting using it - number one recommendation from me (over 50k miles on FSD over nearly 3 years): disengage FSD using the button before turning the wheel if possible. Obviously it's not always possible, but it will be INFINITELY smoother experience vs taking the wheel or pushing the brake.

And just use it and learn it, as much as you can. I am so freaking happy to have FSD in the truck finally. The last 10k miles were great, but I missed FSD more than I thought I would.

I think the only way you can affect follow distance in FSD is in chill vs aggressive

And the CT doesn't have profiles yet. On or off.

I also noticed that the option for "Minimal Lane Changes" is not there on the Cyber FSD.

So far my only complaint is when it turns from a light where there are two turn lanes, it crosses over the line when no one is next to you. I hope it doesn't do it when someone is next to you.

Had the same experience twice with the double left turn lanes from a light. Turned from the right most lane both times, with no other vehicles in the left left turn lane…she took the left lane after the intersection.

Take a left, right?
Surely, Shirley!

I also noticed that acceleration in this is noticeably smoother than the model s. Could be due to the weight..?

I get subtle steady-state velocity fluctuations. I find it annoying, but most passengers don't notice. It's really apparent if you watch the power meter at the left edge of the screen in conjunction with concentrating on feeling the velocity surges. My Y does the same thing, so hopefully it will get smoothed out with time.

It's too aggressive when it comes to slowing down, I am not liking that at all. Then to me the speed is too much in certain situations, the U-turn this morning was old FSD herky jerky crap but it did land the lane and do well after.
