According to the company (statement made on Oct. 7, 2024)

“GEICO has coverage available nationwide for the Tesla Cybertruck,” the Chevy Chase, Maryland-based company told Quartz in a statement.

Geico also confirmed Cybertruck coverage to Teslarati and Seeking Alpha --

GEICO definitely canceled the insurance on my Cybertruck with just 2 weeks notice. This despite having two other vehicles insured with GEICO in the state of Georgia and no accidents on either of them. So I'm clearly a low risk customer. They were perfectly happy to continue taking my money for the other vehicles, just not my Cybertruck.

I had Geico. Got a quote for the Cyberbeast, and it was a crazy 300% more than Progressive. Geico said they would only cover the CT at a premium because they calculated a high repair cost… switched my cars to Progressive.

True: Geico is canceling some Cybertruck policies.
FUD: Geico is canceling all Cybertruck policies.
This is accurate. Like others, they let me sign up my truck in April, then around end of May/early June I got the letter saying it would cancel the coverage and not let me renew with next 6 mo policy that was due to start Aug 1. The coverage stayed in effect till end of July. Glad to see they are now providing clarity to confusion. If SF gives me reason to shop around again then I have no problem going back to Geico as I always liked them, at least their app was easy to use for id cards, policy changes etc.

Some people were being cancelled by Geico and told they were no longer insuring the CT. So not total FUD.
Even if you believe the FUD, it's still FUD.

Some people are just more gulible than others. It's like their BS filters haven't developed fully. This was a targeted attack, designed to drum up more negative news coverage. It was obvious from the get-go.

Of course it was FUD, don't be so naive.

I would drop them completely for being unreliable/capricious ?‍♂
