No VIN here, completed steps as possible, no FSD - if that matters... maybe Tesla trying to up profitable sales first priority.
I ordered the bare bones model $79990.No FSD. Put order in on Friday, received my VIN Monday, Delivery set up for Friday. They even told me that my CT was in transit today to the gallery.
Can't wait to pick it up.

Tax credit applies if you make less than $150k a year or $300k as a couple. If you make less than $150k a year and buy a $100k car, you prob got other problems than saving $7500.
Do you have new information about the Cybertruck qualifying for this?

I also think Cybertruck never qualifies unless it's the base model:
  • $80,000 for vans, sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks
    • $55,000 for other vehicles
Eg no cyberbeast for you. Maybe that's why they price it $79,999 plus options but pretty sure options are included in the MSRP but prob you won't find out until you are audited by IRS so jokes going to be on you not tesla...

Just be sure you add no options eg no fsd, no color no wheels to stay at $79,990 otherwise it's over $80k and no credit.

Any option you add
Not so. There's a difference between working folks and retirees. I worked hard and saved. So, my AGI is easily half fof the threshold. But I can pay cash for the CT.

Now if they'd just assign me a VIN...

Especially since you can qualify based on current or last year's taxes.

That said, until Tesla says it qualifies, don't expect a credit.

Just this: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/credits-for-new-clean-vehicles-purchased-in-2023-or-after

Again if you make <$150k a year you prob shouldn't be buying a $100k car...
The whole auto market is absolute madness; between discussions of an 8 year loan, to dudes discussing a $7,500 credit being a make-or-brake it element of this car purchase. I’m also going off the assumption if you bought a car in the last 4 years and you’re trading it - there’s negative equity. Regardless, if any vehicle purchase accounts for 60%+ of your adjusted gross annual income, I hope you have a contingency plan for luxury vehicle depreciation and out of warranty repairs. It is new and shiny now but it’s old and depreciated tomorrow.

Great idea. Carvana offered me $1,900. Anyone have experience using them? I was honest in my appraisal of the car's condition. Is there a chance they will lowball it later, like Tesla did?
I have used them a couple of times and have had zero issues. Very easy process.

FSD doesn't count when it comes to the tax credit. Only things installed by the manufacturer. FSD is software. You can absolutely get an AWD and add FSD and get the tax credit if the CT qualified just like all the Model X owners who get FSD still get the tax credit.
