I'm 113525xxx, I'm warming up for the invite. I'm expecting it this week or next at the rate they are going.

I will be ordering the bare bone CT, wrap it in satin black, and get the At tires if I don't like the all seasons tire. I like core wheels.
FSD will be monthly Subscriptions, I need to enjoy my drives.
If you get the core wheels the “snow package” cost $3000 and have decent AT tires.
I plan on getting the snow package and once the tires wear out I’ll sell 3 of the rim/tires individually as spares and keep one for myself.

Interesting, Maybe I calculated wrong? The math is extremely spotty with all the variables but I assumed...

If we use a recently delivered RN like 112,920,000 then that would put me ~ 400k down the line with my RN being 113,350,XXX?

Is that not correct? Obviously we have no idea. That's assuming no cancellations and no foundation conversions of course. If that's the case I don't think we'll get an email for awhile even if the true number is half that =/

Even if it was 100k actual, at a goal EOY 2,500/week production rate...that would be ~10 months? Maybe 5-8 months depending on how quickly they ramp weekly q1/2 '25

My cousin got the invite last Friday, his RN was 1130xxxxxx. He was around 330k inline. I'm going by that calculation.

80k is still a lot for a vehicle in this economy..
I don't expect too much conversions.

Yep, still a good third over the average new truck, and sixty percent more than reveal price.

On a side note, FSD for $7000 seems like a terrible buy that I only bought because it was FS cybertruck.

It rents for $100/month. In 4 years that's $4,800. Not accounting for interest, $7000 is about 6 years. My 2020 model Y I paid $60k for and now is worth ~$25k 4 years later on trade, no value is attributed by buyers for FSD.

Take the $7k and buy tesla stock if you want to support them on it lol.

Possibly, unless the price goes back to $16k, and subscription doubles. I will own software anytime I can. Did that with 3dsMax and now save $1875 a year. It goes up every year. Once you are on a subscription, they determine your cost. No thanks. Would not be surprised if they pull the option to own for life. Especially once regulatory approval for L5 is achieved.

$80k + options + sales tax + DMV fees is a lot of coin.

31 percent of American drivers who financed their car are underwater on their loans. The problem is even worse for EV owners – 46 percent of those folks have negative equity in their electric cars.

I think the conversion rate for the non-FS AWD Cybertruck will still be relatively low, especially with the holidays around the corner and no $7500 tax credit available.

I predict Tesla will be offering the $61k RWD trim within 6-12 months.

They're moving fast. already at 113, and I'm in 114.

Regarding the $7,500. Is everyone here making a ton of money or something. The ratio of YOLO'ers and "it's just $7,500" to the I'd like to see if I can save $7,500 on my purchase is pretty high. I make good money, and would never just give up $7,500 bucks if I didn't have to. That's nearly 10% the value of the dual motor. Over a five year ownership, placing into the market gets you $10,500, or about a 40% return. Just by waiting a couple of months.

If the credit was never going to happen, then yeah I get it, but a lot of people here trying to shame everyone like $7,500 is nothing. Even crazier is the "big deal I spent $20k more for the same thing by getting an FS group". If you got it as enthusiast, that's great, but belittling everyone else, what's the point.Tthere's no way the average person just casually dropped $20k like it's nothing unless they're flush. I'd say, I got it because I love it and couldn't wait longer, not getting defensive about someone waiting or a $20k discount.

Combined, waiting for non FS plus credit is $27,500 or potentially $38,570 in five years; $11k in your pocket, or downpayment on the next cool Tesla iteration.

Thanks for bringing this up, I was seriously confused. The first thing I did was run the monthly numbers, and thought I was missing something. I was assuming that FSD was for hardware to be able to use FSD, otherwise if you're swapping cars every 3-5 years it makes no sense. Can you really just pay monthly for FSD without having purchased it?

Congrats Tito! Are you going to keep both trucks?

I have to ask, maybe you can help settle a question from another thread. Did you buy FSD with your truck? Non-FS trucks that don't have FSD are supposed to have "Base Autopilot". Can you confirm?

You sure it's YOLOers and not people who make over the income limit? Income limit is pretty low for an expensive vehicle. I get it, lots of retired people and people making money off investments are qualified.

If I qualified for the tax credit, it would have been a harder decision to choose a Cyberbeast.

And no, we shouldn't belittle each other. We get enough crap out there.

Average income for an American household is about $82k/yr, ironically this is an $82k vehicle assuming destination. No one on this forum is hurting (or finically responsible if you read into the census data ?)

Yeah, but there's also people who have small pass-through businesses or are otherwise expecting to use it over time...

...While I make a big deal about the price to point out that it's still out of reach of most people... over the lifetime of a truck, 20% more price up front for an EV will balance out compared to traditional in the cost of ongoing usage because cheaper energy and maintenance costs.

Got my invite Friday (1129) but wife says either the MYP or the Plaid has to go first. Got the Plaid up for sale officially as of today (ebay and Autotrader) and literally somebody one county over from me is interested and coming to look at it Friday. Fingers crossed. The interested party is wanting to buy the Plaid for her son as a birthday gift, in which the "son" has never even driven a Tesla. Weird. Anyway, looking forward to the CT.

I was just at Tesla today and asked about that. I am picking mine up Friday. Yes it has Auto Pilot. They think it has self parking as well. Find out Friday
