Crissa.
Question. If you order the AWD with just paying the Reservation will you be able to change it to a CyberBeast with out lossing your reservation? Thanks!
So far to date you can change it up to order time. I had the choice to switch from Cyberbeast to AWD for mine.

I see an awful lot of posts and comments from people who are obviously very emotional and excited. Do we have any real objective evidence as to whether or not this non-FS CT will be eligible for the $7,500 tax credit? I saw a suggestion on this thread that maybe if you order only the core wheels and tactical grey interior that you can get the price low enough for the tax credit, but is that just speculation or do we know that for sure?

The reason I'm asking is that I have a delivery appointment tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Pacific standard Time for a Foundation Series, and this just throws a whole new monkey wrench into my plans. I was at the bank tonight until 5:25 p.m. getting my loan secured.

Remember, the price is still 60% more than the reveal night.
Just to echo and reiterate the details (price, range, & payload) from my spreadsheet when the 2023 numbers were announced.

Since you already had decided to buy the FS is there any reason you have a change of mind?
If you were really wanting the tax credit like many here, you would have waited in the non FS club.

Does anyone know when the extended battery will be available?
MotorMatchUp simulator shows a pretty significant difference which should allow skipping some Superchargers on road trips or extending some time when using it for V2H (ala Helene example).

Evidence: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/credits-for-new-clean-vehicles-purchased-in-2023-or-after

"In addition, the vehicle's manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) can't exceed:
  • $80,000 for vans, sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks
  • $55,000 for other vehicles
MSRP is the retail price of the automobile suggested by the manufacturer, including manufacturer installed options, accessories and trim but excluding destination fees. It isn't necessarily the price you pay."

It seems intuitive that Tesla intends to qualify for the credit since they are just within the price point at the base level. But adding trim disqualifies you. So there is hope for the credit, but at the expense of having no option to update the trim or wheels.

I like the white trim, but not at a $9,500 price difference.

Just get it. You don’t plan on selling it so being under $20k as soon as you drive off the lot is not a big deal….
