Can you help me with another question? Why does the non-FS Dual motor get less range than the FS version?
We don't know. One says 'estimated' and the other says 'epa range'.

It may be they downgraded range after getting different real world information.

But if that was the case they should have updated the FS info. Don’t you think?

It sure seems like there’s a whole lot of people like me waiting for tax credit clarification. If the CT does ultimately qualify, it seems like they are going to have to roll out tax credit eligible invites from the beginning of the list again. Otherwise they may get too many orders at once and not be able to deliver before the law is possibly repealed next year.
Now Elon is Trumps buddy so that law might not get revoked

I spoke to a Tesla sales rep about the tax credit and was told that the process to be added to the qualifying list can't start until non-foundation series have actually started deliveries. I'm pretty sure they are driving around now, correct? If that's the case, it sounds like it's pending. I have no idea if he knew what he was talking about. Waiting impatiently.

I placed my order for non FS AWD, foolishly paid the $250 order fee without thought of Tax Credit...was just elated that I could get one. But after finding out it didn't qualify yet because of the battery...I canceled my order. Not sure yet if I've lost my $250 fee, or if I'll get it credited to the truck when they can sell me one that qualifies for the credit. If I loose the fee, oh well, then I should get a better truck with better range if the rumors are correct. Long story short is I could be driving a non FS today had it qualified for the tax credit.

Be patient grasshoppers.

Tesla realizes many potential CT buyers are on the fence due to the lack of a $7500 tax credit. I'm confident 4680 battery cell changes are coming in 2025 to allow the CT to qualify.

Just chill and enjoy the upcoming holidays. Bonus: you will get a 2025 model and won't be stuck with vehicle registration renewal costs in November or December?

This needs to be clarified. Assuming your business has $7,500 or more in tax liability you can file for the credit with your business tax return. If you just created a business to get the credit, but have no tax liability, you'll get $0 back. If your liability is less than $7,500, then you get that amount credit and lose the rest.

This link was helpful for me, could help others:
