So I put in a service order to have Tesla Service to bring out and install my wheel covers. The service was quick but when the tech had finished I went out to look at it and the covers don't line up with the tire inlays. The tech said the only way to fix this is to make another service appointment and have them realign the tire on the actual mag itself and then have them put the covers on. I love my truck but I'm not impressed with the look... it looks pretty tacky.

Word of advice, If they want to roll a tech out instead of doing it in the service center, ask politely to have it done there instead. Chances are your tires aren't aligned with the wheel correctly either.

Mongo Replied to this below and set me straight. Basically the tech doesn't know wtf he's talking about or doing.

They're wrong.
It's two pieces specifically so they can be aligned to the tires.

The covers are two pieces and can be easily aligned with the tires.

Who are these people at the centers !! Imagine if that was true they would have needed to align every truck tire at the factory to fit the caps that were not in yet. ! I really think only reason I would go to one of these centers would be a last resort !

Seattle Service Center is pretty unimpressive so far. They lost the key to my Model Y and then wanted to sell me a new one when I picked it up from a service appointment...

Some part of me thinks they’re guys all know how hard it is to complain about them or get ahold of anyone so they do what ever they want knowing they won’t get in trouble. Did they take the guys from the computers inside and put them to work on the cars outside ? Jesus

As I read this it was NOT the SC but a mobile service call that installed the wheel covers. I've had nothing but great service from my SC in Larkspur, CA.

Also as noted above you can adjust the covers as you like as they are two piece.

My Beast and I are still waiting for our wheel covers and light bar. Christmas is getting closer every day....
