Wall charger turned red from yesterday.

Anyone got the same problem?

i’m in FV, Orange County SoCal. Called Trout Electric and tech said he is sending an email to Tesla with all infos of my equipments about some firmware/software update.

Not yet. Just afraid to do anything before contacting Trout Electric first. No need to charge any EVs now so I'll wait till tomorrow to see what will happen.

Call Tesla Wall Charger support. They will diagnose it from there as long as it is connected to WiFi. If it turns red then flashes green it's overheating. This happened to me before and as long as it's less than 4 years old they will send you a replacement.

Questions ? Breaker size in your panel feeding the charger ? Wire size they used? what amp rating are you charging your car at ? (60amp breaker?) (#4awg wire Copper) 100ft run or less. ( amp setting on your app ?) lower amps are better for battery charging.

Has Tesla released The Power share from the truck to house yet ? and does it show up on the app if they did ?

I can vouch for that, it happened to me once and I wasted a lot of time until I simply called Tesla. They can diagnose it online and sent me a replacement immediately.

Self check failed.

Unplug the Mobile Connector from the vehicle then plug it back in. If the error persists, unplug the Mobile Connector from both the vehicle and the power outlet, then plug it back in.

If the Red light stays on without flashing the self check failed- un plug it per the trouble shooting guide and plug it back in.

No idea. I paid ~$7K for the upgraded 200A panel, powershare ... Wires are very thick probably 2 awg for about 20ft, 11 kw max charging at 80 amp breaker. Amp setting is always max at 11 kw.

It won’t hurt a thing to trip the breaker and reset it. Odds are it’s the first thing they will tell you to do anyway. Sense it’s hard wired it’s the only way to “unplug it”. Same as any electrical thing they first want to see if shutting it down and resetting it will fix it.
