Ok.. What have we learned :

If it is bolted on, it can be ripped off
If you add a tracker, it can be found.
If it has a QR code, the whole thing can be stripped for parts.

At least if you have security cameras & alarm system you would have a high chance of knowing something was wrong before you arrive so you can take extra provisions, tools, and have EV charged for return trip without charge at remote site (or rent an ICE for the inspection trip).

Wasn't the property in question specifically not resided in?

And an unattended flag seems like screaming for some vandalism. Or at least rescuing the flag.

Ohā€¦ Now I get it, The guy on First base is NAMED Who.

The wall charger is designed to be hard wired. Removing it and leaving a hole with wires hanging out of it is probably against code. A much more elegant solution that wonā€™t be against code is to install a NEMA 14-50 Outlet.

Iā€™m confused what you mean by the wall charger is plug and play. A NEMA 14-50 outlet and the mobile charger is literally the ā€œplugā€ part of plug and play. But Iā€™m also confused about Whatā€˜s on second. So Iā€™m just going to hang out with the shortstop, I donā€™t give a damn.
The wall charger can be used like a mobile charger but you have to configure its wifi every time. It's not as convenient.

I just learned that this week on another thread!

What if they steal your NEMA 14-50 outlet? Good ones cost around $80.

Seriously, this thread makes me think there are a lot of really poor people in Alabama and everything has to be bolted down with anti-theft bolts filled with JB Weld to prevent their removal by an industrious person who lacks good morals.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it but if you are really attached to your Wall Connector I suppose you could mount it in a vented steel cabinet. Of course that could be easily broken into also so it just matters how industrious that person is.

Imagine, if you will...a wall charger installed at a vacation home. You drive your EV there, planning to recharge for your return trip. You arrive and find that it has been stolen.
I'm worried about that.
If you carried a travel charger with you, worry assuaged.

Once installed, can the wall charger be (easily) dismounted from its base to keep it (and the cable) from being stolen? Anybody ?
No
Monitor Wire Capacitance
But
You can setup an alarm when the wire is cut an alarm will sound Wire Capacitance is lowered. Large Cu wire have capacitance and can be monitored to your five alarm system set to go off and automatically call the cops the fire department call your cell or just ring a bell.

Capacitance is the measure of how much electrical energy is stored in an object, such as a capacitor used in an electronic circuit. The unit for measuring capacitance is the farad (F)
So

You do not have to power the wire to monitor the wire. All you have to do is monitor the capacitance of the wire.
Once the wire is cut the capacitance is lowered and that can fire off a call to the cops or your cell or you home alarm system like fire or break in.

I love you man.
For what it's worth, I posed the question to Tesla Customer Service. Maybe they will give a straightforward answer.
Takeaway is that the CyberTruk folks are an exercise in frustration.
BuhBye...
Most likely you will bitch at them for not responding. And then bitch at us for them not responding.

Sirwhinesalotsurefartsalot.

Answer your own question through ingenuity instead of posting a question here and demanding a satisfactory answer from the general public and berating that general public as if you were their asshole boss who was too lazy to do your own research and use your own brain. No one here is being paid to please you.

Harassing a forum is not research. It's trolling.

Do you have to buy and attach a plug to it? Or does it come with a plug? I assumed it just had terminals to hard wire too.

Maybe the OP is a thief trying to figure out if it's worth the effort.

Maybe the op would be a smarter human being if they went and posted this question on a Tesla owners forum where a majority of the forum members are actual owners instead of a forum where a majority of members are reservation holders not actual owners cause the forum is for a not yet released vehicle.

That would take too much thought though.

Read the room before you flip out cause you don't get the answer you want.

Yes easily removable...4 little screws and the whole face plate and charging cable can be removed as a single piece.
Thank you very much.
