It's been claimed that the Cybertruck is the #3 best selling EV in the US, behind the Model Y and Model 3. In California, however, the Cybertruck is currently also being outsold by the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
California has a much more urban population, despite its wide open plains, and usually all trucks score lower here.

Tesla deliveries in 3Q 2024 were up 6% over 3Q 2023, making it their best 3Q ever. That may sound good, but there is one detail that Tesla left out.

Tesla has three major markets: the US, Europe, and China. Tesla has not provided a breakdown, but independent analysts suspect that those record 3Q 2024 numbers are entirely due to China (where EV sales are booming), and that sales in the US and Europe were flat or down.

If this is correct, then Elon is not alienating buyers in China, where people are used to a Communist system of government. However, buyers in western democracies may have a different take.
China numbers are known.

I counted 35 on the lot at the Liberty Lake Washington service center.

And how many are they delivering on an average day? Because that's the other side of this equation. If they are delivering 7-10 per day as some stores are that's only 3-5 days of inventory on hand. Maybe they get new shipments in every week or two? That's "sold out". Only having enough on hand to fill current and some expected new orders.

Not enough info to make a call.

BTW, when I picked up my FS in early June I found over two dozen in a holding lot at a local mall. All were already tagged to customers. None were available for purchase despite sitting in the lot.

People's FS trucks were literally sitting for months plural with an s at the Union Pacific Railyard Auto Distribution Center in Mira Loma Jurupa Valley because the lazy union workers weren't doing their job and transporting them.

I just called my local Tesla SS as I am impatiently waiting on my Non FS. Lady told me that we have more than 100 FS AWD and Beast available for immediate delivery for anyone willing to pay $20k more. I ordered my non fs two months ago and still waiting. Convincing my wife to be onboard with FS ☺
A couple of weeks ago I drove by my local Tesla center in Mesa AZ - Down around the street and across the street there were parking LOTS of Cybertrucks (mostly FS) and other Teslas - I'm going back by that area today to see what it now looks like and take some pictures. My thoughts were: "Why so many Tesla's and CT's?" They were very dirty from transport and sitting there for awhile. This is too many for here? There were 100's of CT's and a crapola load of S3XY's" - I was guessing they are storying them to ship to Mexico and Canada? It's not too close to railroad tracks and all the Tesla's I've seen there are delivered on car haulers ..... Not sure... I started to think maybe sell some $TSLA- (glad I didn't) Thoughts anyone?

Because for every FS CT out there 'sitting on the lot' there are about 2500 Ford F150's, over 1000 Silverado's and about 500 Dodge Ram's...
So, not different, just a slightly different number available.

Charged at Verona NY delivery center today and there were a TON of unsold FS trucks sitting in the inventory lot, just as there were when I picked up my M3P several months ago. Supply > Demand. I'm sure Elon alienating 99% of his customer base with politics has been great for selling their most polarizing vehicle.
Ahh, I see now. You aren't getting one and you're feeling a bit jealous... Or maybe, it's like it was at OUR local sales center... Went by one day and they had about 10 of them in the lot... Then went by a week later and there were STILL 10 in the lot... BUT they weren't the SAME 10 (as I found out)... And, in fact, about 20 minutes later a truck pulled up with 5 more (and 2 Model 3's)...

The 'associate' I spoke to said that ALL of them were already 'sold' and waiting for pickup and that it's been that way for over a month now... I can attest to that fact myself as of Sept. 29th when we picked ours up... They were 'processing' our order along with 5 others and people were still coming in to pick up theirs too!

So, if just the CAMARILLO 'store' has been that busy, that's a very good sign that people are still getting them... I do know one person who couldn't pickup this last weekend (FS Beast) because he was out of town, but they are holding it for him until Friday when he will get it...

I scheduled my pick up last week for this Thursday and yesterday they notified me that the truck is there and I could get it early. Already made plans and hotel reservation so we'll wait the extra couple days but it shows that they want to get them moving.

That's funny! What's just as funny is the title of this thread, "Too many FS available", as if you can have too much of a good thing.

It makes me try to imagine a nice campsite with "too many cans of microbrew". My mind just draws a blank! What does it mean? On the other hand, you can have too many legacy vehicles, in fact it's common.

This is what you can see at almost any dealership in America:

1729962088860-ig.webp
Not sure about that. I went looking for a specific Toyota and literally had to shop across the US and have it transported. (+$1400 cost for delivery)

However, there are indeed vehicles like Rivians stacked up (e.g. San Jose CA off of Senter Rd)

I recommend FS. You’re gonna regret not having FSD if you don’t get it. Game changer.
Is it? I have had FSD for several years and pretty much disabled it (non-CT) for TACC

* Phantom braking
* When I had Tesla insurance, would negatively impact me due to "too close following"
* Couldn't look like I'm dozing off
* Couldn't use the cell-phone and watch videos

The last one, reading emails to browsing Reddit or watching YT made it a deal breaker. Did things change to the degree that it makes will make a drive much better than being able to doze off or watch videos?

I went ahead and ordered the non FS CB on 10/18 got a VIN 10/19. I texted them this morning for a delivery update to south Florida. Possibly early November … this waiting is harder than the 1st 4 years ?

Even if true, all the Foundation Series will be gone in short order in the U.S. They already are in most areas of the country. After that? Unobtanium, except on the second-hand market.
I went on October 11th with an invitation to see the CyberTruck in person just outside of Toronto Canada (Oakville, Ontario). FS and FS Beast being offered at $135k CDN and $163k CDN respectively. Delivery scheduled to start on November 1, 2025. The 2 models in FS are going to be the only ones available to purchase until March next year so FS export to other countries will still be built along side the non FS being sold in the USA. It was great to have personal appointment to sit in and play around with the features, turn the squircle 180° in each direction (wheels don't turn), check out back seat, open vault, soft open gate etc. The truck was parked in the highest suspension position if not in "Wade Mode" and was a bit of a climb to get into it. Except to show of, I would run it on lowest height for ease of entering and loading.

All said, the prices are 2 and 3 times what I originally made a reservation for in the beginning of January 2020 (I have 2 reservations, 1 dual motor (59k FSD) and 1 single motor ($49K FSD).

These were the prices I reserved at on the Canadian website at that time. I accept a price change as it has been 4.5 years, we went through a pandemic, everything is more expensive, the Canadian dollar has tanked as well.

I can accept a 25-30% price increase. But 100-150% is crazy. The people who can afford these trucks here in Canada will do it as a status symbol. Park in their driveways, outside of their 4 door garages, many with lifts inside to double decker parking. These houses driveways look like the cover of a Motor Trend Magazine. The CyberTruck will be flanked by Maserati, Mercedes, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

But these people trade in vehicles every year for a new lease. They have FU money.

What I need is a work truck for my work. I am switching my house over to 100% electric. I can buy a Ford Lightning F150 for $70k, but that is not what I want long term. I don't want the depreciation or that manufacturer in general. I believe in Tesla, I accept Musk for who he is. Profits are important but there has to be some accountability to the mission of driving and working green. Affordability for the masses. Make a work truck or van for me, a contractor earning a working wage, middle class Canada. All I ask for.

Thank goodness you disabled it.

How is it supposed to learn if its teacher dozes off?

Look, the price change from the average truck can explain nearly all of the drop off in interest from the reservations.

But we don't have to talk politics to realize that Elon's recent gullibility (let alone his politics) has upset people who were his customer base.

You mean his recent awakening don’t you ?
