This is Tesla Powerwall Support, hoping this e-mail finds you well.

Powershare Home Backup functionality is expected to be available for additional energy system configurations, including those with Powerwall, later this year through an over-the-air update.

Currently, Powershare Home Backup is available for system configurations that do not have a backed up solar system, Backup Switch, or Powerwall setup.

If your home is equipped with Powerwall and home charging, you do not require any additional equipment. All Powerwall variants are compatible with Powershare Home Backup.

To use Powershare Home Backup, you need:

Cybertruck with software version 2024.14.3 or later
Wall Connector with software version 24.12.51 or later
Powershare Gateway with software version 23.44.906 or later
Tesla app version 4.32.6 or later

I currently have solar (albeit with Enphase) and I'm interested in adding a PW3 and charger to the setup.

Do you guys know if the vehicle charging part of the setup goes into a gateway or into a PW?

Also, has anyone else here attached a PW3 storage w/ solar panels using a micro-inverters?

The Cybertruck connects anywhere on the downstream/ backed up side of the Gateway.

If PowerShare is going to be enabled with an OTA, then why publish the versions because there is a new version that will be available.

Frustrating that this is taking so long for what would be the easiest customers since we already have all the components.

Coordinating multiple power sources (Powershare + Powerwall) is more difficult than only dealing with one.
