closer to the weight when people are in it and cargo.
You think they had over 2000 lbs of passengers?? Even Americans aren’t that fat

Holy Crap! How did they manage that!

And WTF is going on down in Mexico?!? This is the second major cybertruck accident down there this week!
You've never spent time in Mexico?

A good percentage of Mexican males drive like they have angels watching over them and they are the most machismo driver in Mexico. It's like a contest to see who has the biggest balls of them all. And I can imagine the sense of power provided by the Cybertruck could exacerbate that!

If it's true there were no serious injuries, that's very impressive!

Does anyone think aftermarket brakes would improve stopping power in this situation? Or a parachute? I have this concern and I am not an aggressive driver.
Not at all.

The brakes are far more powerful than needed to activate the anti-locking function, which actually modulates the brakes into only working part-time so the tire won't skid. A more powerful brake would simply be throttled more by the anti-locking feature.

It's the tires that stop the vehicle, not the brakes. The brakes can't do any more than bring the tires to the limits of traction. And they are plenty huge and powerful enough to do that, even on a Cybertruck loaded to the GVWR.

I know I'm repeating myself, but it surprises me how many people don't seem to be able to understand this. So I say it in different ways, hoping people will finally start to understand how braking works.

You must be thinking about the Hummer. Cybertruck is 6800 lbs
Yep. Cybertruck is the lightest EV truck on the market with a range over 300 miles. And it has a higher cargo capacity than any of them.

It's lighter, and it's bulletproof... :D How's that work? By using the body panels as part of the chassis structure. Making every part count.

No, this is more of a function of physics. The brakes of this truck are fantastic; best I have ever used.

Though I do have a neat theory that Tesla is working on reverse cold-gas thrusters for the mass market that could be used of emergency braking.

Anyone Post of the FSD defect yet ? Tail gate down, disables FSD.. Don't expect to have the truck drive back the 40 miles after you pick up a 8ft item, having the tail gate down.. Your going to be doing all the driving.

It "looks" like it may have been a single vehicle accident. High rate of speed, hits the concrete pipe barrier, rips the front off and vaults the truck over, maybe a couple times to rip the rear up and ends up on roof. A few videos in this X thread.

Google translate

Four people were injured, including a woman in critical condition, as a result of the rollover of a Tesla CyberTruck truck recorded on Saturday morning near the Colon roundabout in Guadalajara
Gonna guess that one person wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Nope! I have not.
The middle east was a little different. Biggest vehicle had the right of way no matter what. Other than that "Allah's will", 5 lanes of highway with both sides breakdown lanes being used. Saudi switch was from the left breakdown lane to the right side exit.
I could see the cybertruck causing insane damage there though.

Yeah, except it's the driver, not the vehicle, that causes the damage.
