Interesting, seems they are not going in order of VIN.... cool, cool, cool..
Can’t argue with that. I got a couple emails over 2-3 months saying I was up in the cue, asking a handful of times while waiting for anything but crickets. Might have just been one of the squeakiest wheels ??‍♂
I have a bit of guilt when it comes to the insanely old configuration dates I’ve seen that still don’t have VINs. I’d like to think there is a method behind the madness, but with a list of 2M reservations at one point in time (IIRC), with 75% of those people asking asking asking for xyzabc day in and out, and XX% passing on what appears to actually be one helluva deal for the FS package, I can understand a few things getting lost in the shuffle.

12,xxx here and was in for recall services - wiper motor, sail panels - last week and was told they are going in order of VIN and there will be a second email coming out when they are ready. The first email went to all FS owners, the second is tranched by VIN when the covers are available.

Was a bitter pill when I saw a non-FS being prepped for delivery with the wheel covers mounted. *sigh*

Good luck! Ha…need a follow up for sure. Guess it’s a liability thing…once they’re on per spec by the service “tech,” their hands are washed clean in the event anything happens, like others reporting flying saucers seen on cam footage?

I tend to prefer a matte black, but tinted windows don’t come in matte, so to tie everything together and dress it up a bit post-install, took things into my own hands to add a pop’o’gloss to the sea of matte…any interest in the same or colored spokes/centers-DM!

No wrap, just 1/4” reflective silver (more white than silver, unfortunately) tron striping. Just got wheel covers Thursday night, and glossed the spikes yesterday, so don’t have any real photos yet. Will grab more as I usually do while out and out and post down the road!

Yeah, this whole episode has been a fiasco. From the failed initial design to the delay and then the shitty rollout.

I know the logistics problem that this is for Tesla, but it just seems that no meaningful effort has been made to prioritize getting these to the people who have been awaiting the longest. There’s an arrogance to how disrespectful they’re willing to be to their core customers.

The apologists will do their normal pretzel-logic to explain why this a non-issue, and the real problem is how you just don’t get it! But, it’s an issue.

A lot of folks with a bad tastes in their mouths for months on end is not good for business (even more-so when they’re early adopters and your most likely brand ambassadors).

All that said, mine are supposed to be getting installed today. So, hopefully you’ll get yours soon. I honestly don’t feel like they’re gonna be worth the wait.

They will be worth the wait. Look, fit, quality of the wheel cover is spot on and finally gives us the finished result of what we all fell for when the CT launched.

They are worth waiting for. 100%.
I think our patience has already been proven at this point. They’ll come. Everyone will get them.
