Almost flip when I saw Nov but from 2023. Hope late 2024 build are solid. Empathy for early Foundation owners.
Empathy not needed. It's a simple swap and replace with brand new parts, perhaps with the latest improvements.

Tesla keeps a really detailed database of every vehicle built, so they can go back later and see exactly which components were used in any VIN. But this looks to me like they pulled fleet data over-the-air and analyzed it for certain anomolies that might be indicative of poorly performing MOSFETs that could be indicative of units at risk of failing.

I was actually hoping mine was on the list so I could get the new parts!

Sometimes I wonder if there was a law regarding warranty/recall, that if dealers/oem/etc must provide the customer with the same loaner as the vehicle being serviced, if this would bring any sort of change to the culture in the industry…
Well, it would push up new vehicle prices higher than they already are. The last thing we need are more laws telling everyone how they have to run their businesses. It should only take a day or two to do the recall work if the Service Center schedules everything properly.

ON the plus note I finally got the email that my wheel covers came!
So far, your Cybertruck is the only one in this thread that has been flagged as needing a replacement (as far as I have seen).

Tesla has issued a voluntary recall on certain Model Year (MY) 2024 Cybertruck vehicles produced within the build dates November 6, 2023 – July 30, 2024, that are or were equipped with metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET) in the drive inverter. On affected vehicles a fault in the drive inverter may cause it to stop producing torque.
Safety Risk:
If the inverter stops producing torque, the driver loses the ability to apply torque to the vehicle using the accelerator pedal resulting in a loss of propulsion, which may increase the risk of a collision. No warning occurs prior to the loss of propulsion. However, when the driver loses the ability to apply torque, they will immediately receive a visual alert on the user interface, with an instruction to safely pull over the vehicle to the side of the road and contact Tesla Roadside for assistance.
Remedy:
At no charge to the customer, Tesla will replace the recalled drive inverter with a drive inverter equipped with a properly functioning MOSFET component.

I’ve already had my inverter replaced back in September. VIN #1834. Pretty bummed out at the time. Only took my local service center a half day to replace it. Problem was it took a week and a half before they could get to it. I brought it in a good 3 weeks before my scheduled appointment and they gave me a loaner so it wasn’t too bad of an experience. If you hear the tell tale “clunk” and get a message the rear motor is disabled and you’re limited to 65mph, just pull over and schedule the appointment lol.

At least they dont owe you a Spare Tire Kit, literally gave me a Tire without a cover, and obviously no spare kit.. Waiting two months so far..
Why would they even bother giving you the tire without the kit? It’s pretty useless without the kit. I feel for you. That’s just sad.

I have a service appointment on November 19th to get my spare tire and wheel covers installed. Hopefully they have everything.

Same email. They’re gonna install them at my spare tire installation appointment later this month. Pretty excited for them lol.

Mine was replaced in September and only took a half day once they were able to work on it.

Checked mine today vin: 256xx and no recalls, purchased 9/12/24 with a build month of 7/24, CyberBeast!! I guess that I am one of the lucky ones..

VIN 1900ish. Delivery in March. Mine is affected. Service scheduled for next week but I read something about parts being available early December so it may be postponed.

Says trucks manufactured between Nov 6 2023 and July 30 2024. NHTSA report attached. Says 2431 trucks and potentially 1% of those vehicles have the defect.
Where do you go to see if your truck has a recall?
