They have been known to do that, so you’ll want to do a thorough inspection. You can also outright ask them. They can’t lie to you, that would be fraud.I hope that's the case, I was thinking it might have been a customer refusal that they fixed then put back on the lot.
That being said, the benign explanation of a canceled order or excess inventory is much more likely. There is some small upside. You get the roof trim that has the extra mounting point covers for roof crossbars.
Assuming everything is above board, I’d take it unless you get word that 2025 VINs are being produced. Even then I’d try to negotiate a discount before refusing it, admittedly a longshot given demand. In my experience, the only time Tesla will negotiate a discount is at the VIN/Model year change. I actually succeeded with this once, when no discount was formally posted. Granted it was years ago (2018->2019 Model 3).
