Earlier adopter, what did you expect? 2 years in and 30k miles, our 2023 MYP has never been to the service center. Zero issues.

So I should have expected breakdowns? I expected some issues but not this bad where it's constantly getting towed. I also have been a long time Tesla owner, and have never had issues like this before, this is on another level

Yes, you’re the beta tester.

That really sucks, sorry to hear that, I received my truck in May and have vin 9001, have a few big trips this winter and really hope I don't run into anything like this. The ridicule from family and friends might be pretty bad, but I also will be driving back and forth northwest out of Omaha, into the vast expanse of zero service centers!

That really is a false narrative. That “you should of known” Now if this is a “recall item” then yeah I agree that’s where they are ironing out the mass issues for a new vehicle never to production and might be expected when buying and considered, But the problem you are having isn’t the masses it’s a select few! if this was a Chevy forum with a thread about duramax lemon you would have a number of people saying there issue matched some one else’s from a truck that isn’t “first generation”.

The lemon law exists for a reason. Maybe your truck was the last one built on Friday afternoon or the first one Monday morning or got some parts that still had occasional mfg problems. Who knows, my brother is a body tech and gets in new cars to 'fix' that came in off factory trucks. They see all kinds of problems (things not plugged in, fluids not done, bolts missing/not correct, etc, etc).

If you like the truck make Tesla buy it back and buy another one. If you don't like the truck then make Tesla buy it back and get something else. Don't get me wrong, your experience sucks and I would be mad/annoyed as well if it was me. But its just life some times, especially with new designs/products.

I tell everyone that askes me about it that we are all beta testers. If they do not want to be a beta tester than look at buying one somewhere around Q2-Q3 2025.

What’s frustrating is I want to keep the truck I just want it to work and be reliable, seems others don’t have these issues, so I’m starting to think it’s just mine? Makes no sense why Tesla can’t seem to fix it
Tesla will buy back your vehicle if it meets lemon law criteria for your state. Ask to speak to the service manager, most states require a final repair attempt notification.

This is what happened to me. Tbh I am going to try again with a new CT but i guess its hard to predict because no one except tesla has the true data on failure rates of CT systems or components, or the rate of lemon/buybacks of the truck.

I genuinely am curious what that % actually is, id venture its less than 10%, but probably more than 1%

Absolutely fucking not….

Submit your request for a buy-back from your service manager and Tesla will 100% approve it.

The real fix for the problem is they need to replace the PCS on the truck. Not sure why they prefer to buy back the truck rather than replace the pcs.

Best of luck
