I agree with most of the CT early adopter owners. While expecting new model production issues of which I have as well I didnt expect this - free supercharging for late adopters.
Early adopters are usually the most loyal Tesla customers preparing to take the risks of a new production vehicle and ultimately the best promotors of the vehicle.

I certainly will never be an early adopter again with Tesla. I am not even that early only had the vehicle for a few weeks ..

Definitely got smoked hard on this one....

The Serra is cool but still to regular truck looking for me. If I had the money, I’d get a Cyberbeast foundation right now with lifetime supercharging. Not sure what I would do with my AWD Foundation, but I’d probably keep it. A two Cyber truck family. Ahh one can dream….

I feel like supercharging is incredibly inconvenient, I’d rather just come home and plug in when I sleep then wake up, I’ve had a loaner the last week because my gear oil pump had to be replaced, so I’ve been taking advantage of the loaner’s free supercharging and it’s been driving me nuts wasting time at a supercharger when I could be home. I couldn’t ever see doing this for an extended period of time. There’s multiple superchargers on my way home including one like a mile away so it’s not like they are even out of the way. Home charging is worth way more.
It's not for us. But plenty of people out there you road trip a lot. I couldn't imagine supercharging just to save electricity at home. Time is always more valuable.

That's been disputed. Real tests done and with even a larger batt, it gets same mileage as CT...OutofSpec did testing.
Huh? Cybertruck came in last in that test, the Sierra won hands down. They were all around 1.3 mi per KW, but the Sierra dominates that test due to battery size. The Sierra Did the entire 500 miles with one stop to charge, the other 3 trucks (Lighting/CT/Rivian) stopped 3-4 times.

Not sure how I can add anything that hasn’t been said already, I’ll just say grow up, we are not owed Supercharging. In the grand scheme of things how many FS trucks are they trying to sell now, dozens, hundreds???? Definitely not trying to clear out the last 30 thousand they have in inventory.

Yeah that’s true! I think this entire FS strategy is also an injustice to Cybertruck. Given how amazing the truck is, whoever came up with this FS strategy (marketing team or whatever) should have played it differently. If the cost of accessories adds up to 20K anyways, then why all this drama? If they had added lifetime supercharging free from the beginning, demand for FS would have stayed insanely strong. All these strategies are creating so much negative impression about Cybertruck, and it’s pissing of people who are loyal to Tesla. That’s my only concern. Tesla haters are looking for any type of opportunities to create false campaign about Cybertruck. Now we have to deal with this blowout. I’m glad they did this after Christmas. Otherwise family dinner conversations would have gone in defending CT’s honor!! All because someone thought of introducing genius FS strategy so that folks could get trucks six months early after waiting for 5 years!!

Here’s the group of people who are pissed off with FS strategy:
1. Early reservation holders who didn’t want to pay $20K premium.
2. FS owners who will continue to see these perks given on FS models.
3. Owners who feel that they didn’t have to wait for 2-3 years to get the truck.
4. Potential owners who had sticker shock with $100K/$120K price tag. There is something about hitting that price point that deters lot of people, though logically it doesn’t makes sense.
5. People who saw Kim Kardashian cutting the line. ?

If CT sees any low demand in the future, it’s only because of one single reason - FS strategy.
FS would be forgotten in a year. I own an 2016 September MX. 20 days after I got my car, the whole camera architecture changed, no price change. You’ll remember Elon saying, sorry you can not upgrade your older cars, it is like a spine replacement. I accepted it and has been using it for 8+ years. I will sell it to my kids for the trade in value with 0%APR loan. I told them the risk of having an old car with 110k miles, but lifetime connectivity and supercharging make the risk worth it.

Stop trying to compare private deals with the auto world. Your analogies don’t make sense because of the law. Communities dictate residential properties water and sewer are paid by the landlord.
Okay, one... Communities dictate what deals are permissible all the time. No, water and sewer aren't required to be bundled with rent in California. And 'auto sales' are private deals, too!

You can get the FS with gray interior as well as any wheel package now.
None are available near me, I don't know if any are on the West coast at all. So this who argument is nonsense.

it seem that tesla doesn't reward their most dedicated clients . Learned my leason to wait and see the final product and not listen to the sale pitch.
They rewarded you with getting the truck early. They had a few trucks left, and needed to move them. According to rumor, less than 800 across the couWhat does this have to do with you?

That math doesn't math. I think you're getting things mixed up - when you tow, you're stuck with the trailer's aerodynamic drag, which is why they were all very similar while towing the same load. But a 200kWh pack (over 60% larger than the Cybertruck's) isn't going to go 500 miles at a consumption of 1.3kWh per mile. Yeah, it'll go further - but whenever you're empty you'll be lugging that pack around, costing you 40 watthours more per mile, so you'll have to charge 10% longer to get back the same miles.

Looks like us early adopters got stiffed again.

Inventory FS trucks now get lifetime supercharging. Sigh.

This is good to know for next time around. Wait until they sweeten the deal.

For how long? I guarantee if there are any undelivered FS trucks at the end of 2025 Q1, they will hack $10K off the price. Things change at Tesla by the day. If you’re happy enough with what they offer today, go for it and be happy with what you have.

well, I guess a few years is a reasonable wait. I mean, I think it was almost 2000 days between the time I put down $100 to reserve my spot in line to buy a cool promise of vehicle of unknown price and unknown features…sampling theory would say 1/e times how long you originally waited would be optimal. This works out to a little over 2 years.

That said, the real trick to being happy with what you bought is to have an offsetting investment. I made the mistake of selling 7 bitcoin to buy my wife’s Honda minivan in 2017…had I simply borrowed dollars back then, I could have had a few cyber beasts for free.

If you waste your time at superchargers you are doing it wrong. ?

Everyone knows first editions are going to be buggy. Only a fool would think otherwise. I tell people to avoid buying v1.0 of any product unless they want to be early adopters and deal with the issues. FS was beta quality, but I expected that. You should take your losses and sell it. Get a Dodge or Toyota and see how many issues you get with an established model. Maybe this is your first truck? I hear nothing but complaints from Bronco, Toyota, and Dodge new truck buyers. Do your homework first.
There is truth to this. I wouldn't have bought my 2013 Model S if I hadn't had an F-150 as a backup vehicle, and I wouldn't have gotten the Cybertruck if I didn't still have that reliable old Model S.
