I called two places near me and didn’t get offered any discounts. I even said it’s tough spending another $7k for a wrap after buying the CT….they didn’t take the bait.

$7k to wrap a slab sided Cybertruck is criminal. That quote is outrageous.
Then you’ll love the other quote I got: $8,995!!

Both was for a satin black wrap.

The fact that it costs almost (or more!) than 10% of the cost of the truck is ridiculous.

What are average prices for a full Ppf wrap?

I think almost anyone who was offered a 24 OR a 25, would take the 25. I’m just like most people…well, except maybe you.
I would agree on non-Teslas. Or also if I was planning to dump this in a couple of years. But being where the "2024" CT that Tesla builds on a certain Friday will be identical to the "2025s" they build that following Monday, I will take the truck a few weeks sooner and save over $1500 in state excise taxes over 5 years by buying a "2024" in December. I imagine my insurance for a "year older" truck will be a bit less every year as well.
Again, I'm not planning to resell so that doesn't matter for me. But as others mentioned above, in my history of buying used pickups, I would always pay a grand or two more for a low mileage, better condition- but older- truck than a highly used one that is a year or two newer. Especially if the bodywork, interior, etc is identical from one model "year" to the next. Cheers!

LiefMb said we can’t talk about it anymore and the ship sailed. So I guess they should close the thread ?

Used car buyers are usually not keen on purchasing the 1st year production of any vehicle due to bugs, recalls, updates, etc.
but the second year is the sweet spot? ? you have Actualy data on that because I would love to see it? Just like new car buyers aren’t to keen on buying first year new to marked trucks yet we are all driving around in them ?
Recalls happen all the time on all vehicles you take them in they fix them done deal.

Ok first I’m in Los Angeles so you no everything’s more expensive.
I got a PPF thicker then most I paid cash so he didn’t charge me tax and I paid $4500. I always ask for a cash no tax when dealing with small business’s . Even Tesla at 6k is ridiculous! Think about it a company that charges you up the ass for extra products is charging 6k that tells you it’s high. I’m surprised your reaction wasn’t just a slap to his head ?

I’m new to details of PPF but I suspect he means a thickness of at least 7 or 8 mil (?)…

I haven’t done a ton of research yet so not sure what the ‘standard’ PPF thickness is.

“PPF thicker than most”

Please explain.
I guess it isn’t super thick but it’s 8m which is about what all the top brands are I believe. Some of the cheaper brands I believe are all the way down to 6m? I’ve heard that xpel has a 9M? But I’m no professional. I just know when he showed it to me he made a big deal about it being really hard to wrap the edges because folding is was hard to keep it stuck

ALSET Auto uses PPF from this place. It’s 7.5m and really strong. Had it on my 3, haven’t gotten the CT done yet. So far I’m loving the SS look.

That is ridiculous! And it just highlights what a good value the Dual Motor Cybertruck is at only $79,995!

I ordered my CT this week. Got my VIN… it’s a 2024 (55,xxx).

Crazy right? Dec 20 delivery date for a 2024.
Gonna wait for a 2025.
