I found this thread on a search for this same topic. Same issue for me in my CyberBeast.

Makes me wonder how safe it would be to camp in that bed-tent accessory. How much fumes would fill up the tent and get inhaled while sleeping. This could potentially be a serious health issue. (I don't have the tent, but it just crossed my mind if I were to ever get one).

Also, are we sure it is not fumes coming from the batteries themselves?

If you can smell the batteries...
I don't know what batteries smell like. All I know is that when I open the trunk in the bed I almost pass out from the strong fumes...

I took delivery of my truck in April and when I dropped my truck off yesterday to get wrapped I popped it open and the fumes blasted me in the face

I really need to leave it open in the sun for a day

Its definitely a resin odour and strong . being a surfer that smell is so obvious ,
was just concerned that it was more pronounced after charging and thinking its not overheating something back there .

however i do love the smell of resin .

Leave the tailgate down with the tonneau closed and a fan in the back?

I've left the storage door open for protracted periods, but the improvement is only temporary. I also used an industrial ozone generator for hours with little benefit.

Right now I've installed a "refrigerator" baking-soda box, we'll see lol

mine had the new smell for a while, until I took it offroad and camping, then it smelled like campfire for a day or 2. now it's just air freshener.

The chemical smell is SO strong on mine that it’s virtually impossible to put anything other than my mobile charger and air pump. Anything else I feel would get ruined from the smell

I took delivery in April lol

I would expect it to be heat curing, not oxidization curing.

It's next to the motor, not the battery. But if you were preconditioning the pack, the motor is used as a battery heater.
