Free white interior upgrade/wheel upgrade and great trade value - took delivery today

I just took delivery of my Cybertruck. It seems Tesla may be doing a couple unpublished deals to get deliveries in before the end of the year:

-I was given $30,200 for my trade even though CarMax only offered $27k and Tesla's trade estimator was the same a week ago. I think they might be bumping trade values for EOY.

-I placed my order yesterday and it was for an AWD with tactical gray interior and core wheels but my delivery date wasn't until 12/31. I stopped by the dealership and asked if I could get an earlier delivery. They offered me a white interior for same day delivery and gave me the option of core or the cyber wheels both as free upgrades so long as I took delivery today or Monday. I stuck with the core wheels as I have driven both and liked how the truck drove with the core wheels better.

Just thought I'd put this out there for anyone else looking to take delivery before end of year

What was the difference between the standard and FS wheels in ride quality? How could you tell it was the wheels and not road tires of the standard?

Sorry for the confusion when I said wheels I meant the standard tire I preferred over the all terrain. I test drove a 2 different dealerships, one test drive was with core wheels and the other test drive was a foundation with the all terrains

Oh! Gotcha. Np, that makes a lot of sense, road tires would be smoother. The standard wheels are 20" also, right?

yes, I had the all season tires on and switched to all terrain. The all season tires and core wheels feel noticeably smoother on the road. I won’t be switching back but there’s definitely a difference.

Thanks! I wonder if they are open for any negotiations in California (due to relatively high demand). I already have a CT, but potentially want to swap Y for a X if they offer a good trade in as well as any additional upgrades as you mentioned

I think it more had to do with what they had available onsite for delivery prior to the end of the year. Sounded like the next shipment of tactical grey interior wasn't due until a day before new years eve and they didn't want to risk not having the deliveries on the books for this year. Hope you can get lucky the same way in your situation

The original quote I got from Tesla was from their online estimator before I placed the order and the higher amount was after I uploaded pictures and everything for the order. Just speculating here, but this is my 4th Tesla and I'm always used to seeing their appraisal significantly less than CarMax
