Sometimes that $$$ estimate is "I know exactly how to fix and you're paying for that expertise".

Just because a guy can do a job in seconds, doesn't mean the knowledge to do it right and quick isn't worth money.

Only if you heat it up to really high temperatures or the torch isn't burning cleanly; so like over 450°F

I had to look it up. I knew ovens generally didn't change color, so it's usually at like, 480°F, but impurities in the flame or the metal can change that.

Maybe using a dent removal rod to 'push' from the INSIDE of door might have worked also (in this case) or a combo of both puller AND push rod (without heat even)?
