But to answer what part of the box do I plug into what part of the car I feel fairly confident it's the charging port.
OK. Let's go from there. How do I do that?

Not sure I understand your question. Do you not know how to plug into your charging port?

In my previous post I have a picture. Plug the thing that the red arrow is pointing to into your cars charging port.

So Elon is not waiting for someone to give him a 100x100 miles empty land for his solar panel to electrify with it the whole of the US of A, and he'll just do it with our fleets of Cybertrucks..
Someone said this before but it doesn't wash.

Power generation is best located close to where it's used. That solves a lot of problems with power loss, line maintenance, forest fires caused by lines, property ownership and liability, etc etc.

Musk is trying to get each of us to finance our own 30'x50' array backed by batteries we pay for, connected to the grid with equipment we buy from him, selling power to the utilities brokered by Tesla's software.

In other words he wants that 100 x 100 mile square footage; financed by us and the power utilities; with profits flowing to Tesla at every phase.

EDIT: I know... you weren't being literal.

I guess you misunderstood the question. It was what do I plug into what in order to participate in the VPP program. The thing with the arrow in the picture is a J1772 connector.

I don't know if that 100 x 100 miles need to be contiguous,

That makes Elon a genius, right? Being able to do what other robber barons did and want to do. Aren't we still footing the bills for the clean up of mining areas after the operators raped the land and left while laughing all the way to the banks?

You're the one the alluded to his genius. This is the just another example. I said earlier in this thread that is of the same order of magnitude as the SC network.

And by now Elon must be thinking of a way into sending electricity by lightning bolt from source through his Starlink and sending the lightning bolt to where electricity is needed..

You joke, but I've seen detailed plans of satellites with solar arrays beaming power down to the surface via microwave.

Which company so I can buy their stocks.

Joking aside, this should be the future of power transmission. No more Texans freezing to death while their governor is making excuses for the power company and their senator flying to warmer Cancun.

That is only assuming you will give your stored energy away for nothing and Tesla will not pay for access to your energy. There is no reason to give Tesla access if they will not pay. I think Musk understands this. The last thing he would want is to lose this source of energy and open the door for competition.

I guess you misunderstood my answer. I was clearly answering your question:

The part I'm not clear on is what part of the box do I plug into what part of the car…
I specifically said:

Now how that links up with Tesla VPP, I do not know.

The name of the company is Tesla for a reason…?

No, not assuming that at all.

  1. You finance the panels, the batteries, and switching.
  2. You provide the real estate and use your existing utility hook up.
  3. Tesla brokers the power, you get paid, Tesla gets a brokerage fee.
It's essentially like Uber for power, only Tesla is selling you the equipment *at a profit* instead of you using your own. Tesla is perfectly happy sharing the profits you earn. Since you financed it, it's only fair right?

The great thing about using microwaves to transmit the power is you can also use it to thaw out ground based infrastructure.

I don't think anyone is currently building this, I suspect the cost of boosting that much infrastructure into orbit was prohibitively expensive. Perhaps once Starship is online it'll make sense.
