Sorry, but I find constant comments from one contributor to be a bit irritating. There used to be an option to block "contributions" from
a specific sender. How do I do that?

I have tried, but they continue to appear. I second the desire to mute "contributions"

1: Find a post by the problematic contributor.
2: Click on the name of the contributor at the top of the post. This will bring up their profile summary.
3: At the bottom of the profile summary, click the ā€œIgnoreā€ button.

This will block out their contributions.

Click
on user handle
Ignore
option in user profile

User posts will matriculate normally in your news feed ā€œcompressedā€. You’ll have the option to ā€œreadā€ an ignored user post by clicking to decompress

Suddenly this feels like an elevator you are in where everyone is over 60 just like you. And the nagging question don’t leave you alone long after you left the elevator:

ā€œWho farted? Was it me?ā€

I self sensor my jokes now. I have had posts altered by admin.
Did you get notified of the change? I’ve had threads I created moved to a different forum but so far I haven’t noticed anything I wrote getting modified by admin. But I generally don’t go back and read my own messages so who knows.

I did get notified but deleted my comment afterward because it was no longer mine. They didn’t add to it just deleted part of it. I don’t believe it was malicious. My impression was that they didn’t get the joke and thought I am putting something non factual there.

I’ve gotta wonder about the admins. There are way more comments on here than I have any interest in reading personally. Plus it seems like whoever runs this also runs a number of other similar sites (ex: the Ford Lightning board). How they manage to review everything and stay sane is beyond me.

Now that you’ve spilled the beans @John K and I will be the only ones able to read each other’s posts. Unless JK blocked me too.

I just realized… John can sign his messages JK and nobody would know if he was serious or Just Kidding.

I think this software (https://xenforo.com/) is used for multiple products and may be even on multiple servers and I would not be surprised if each had more than one moderator with admin privileges. I know Ford’s is huge. Lightning threads alone requires more than one person to go through if every comment were to be monitored. For CT, even now that nothing is happening, I skip most posts and many threads because it is just too much. Just imagine if Tesla put out a CT in every state for test drive. The comments on YouTube video shares and photos would make the site explode over night. If there is only one admin, they have to rely on people flagging each other like seeing who is ignored and monitor problem children rather than every post which makes me think I must be on the blacklist already.

Admin didn’t like one of my posts catching too many HaHa faces. I got a warning that the post would delete. Joked back if they could take a ā€˜joke’.

Notification hasn’t worked since… LOL

Edit: Notifications are working again, Thx
