It is obvious you have little clue about the strength required of a truck capable of carrying an additional 3500 lbs. of payload.

Maybe you refrain from speculating about things you know so little about.
We’re all here to learn something new, some of us don’t quite use language that acknowledges we all have areas of unconscious ignorance. But clearly most of us aren’t engineers working on next generation technology.

I have a problem with people spreading misinformation while trying to sound authoritative and this isn't the first example from this particular member. And it's always negative towards Tesla, as if Tesla doesn't really know much about what they are doing. But there's never any meat on the bones.

I have no idea why anyone is getting all bent out of shape and are being so derogatory. All I am saying is this …..
Tesla Cybertruck Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023 F39DA4AF-6F43-46F2-AD88-5709CEC86C36

will set onto this
Tesla Cybertruck Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023 1CA28C3A-3A25-4E13-85BA-518F36F01A9B

and add significant strength, with its strengthen single piece rear casting, produced in the 8 Ton GIGA Press, and take a significant load off of the original exoskeleton design…..

I think some people have reading comprehension and anger issues.

Yep, totally agree the misinformation and authoritative tone is not helpful, but there are more collegiate ways to call out such foolishness.
I’m being hypocritical calling you out because I too react in the same way, but I think as a group we can support each other to make this a better place to hang out.

I must confess to similar personality defects… I blame John K.

The issue is your authoritative tone; talking in absolutes when you are actually speculating comes off the wrong way. People will always call you out for this in varying tones of civility. You’ll make more friends if you express yourself with a little more humility. Look up the “Dunning Kruger effect”… it might give you a little insight.

I think most of us would concur that the two images are analogous to what Tesla would do but that does not mean the exoskeleton is no longer “a thing”.

WOW..You have a tone button on your computer, a varying tone button even. I’m sorry I don’t have a tone button on my iPad. If I’d did I would probably find your word tone very arrogant, know it all, and condescending both in this response and throughout the topic. Not just to me but to everyone. I could suggest a couple of Dale Carnegie books to read, but that would be patronizing of me.

Even when you finally concurred with me, when it is presented in picture format, to help you visualize what I was saying, you had to add “ but that does not mean the exoskeleton is no longer “a thing”.”, which was never said. But, I am quite sure you come back with some condescending comments defending you continuous dissenting remarks.

If you were working for Tesla and Musk, this would be when he would say, “your fired.” And if “whatshisass” reads this, I am not negative on Tesla….I own a couple thousand shares!

I recommend hitting your tone button when reading this…maybe these will help....???

You do you ladyhawk, but most of your comments are snarky and derisive, it lowers the quality of interactions.

Take the feedback and move on.

The gigapress is being used to cast parts from aluminum that would more traditionally be made by stamping and welding multiple pieces of steel together. The result of building the part out of steel would be no stronger or weaker than casting it out of aluminum because both methods are engineered to satisfy the engineering requirements at hand. The cast aluminum solution is being adopted because it will reduce the part count, reduce the number of manufacturing steps, reduce cost and reduce weight. It's not being used to make it stronger than it needs to be or to "take a significant load off the original exoskeleton design". It's not clear why you think that or how it makes any sense.

If this sounds derogatory it's probably because I don't know how to tell you that your claims have no basis in reality without saying they have no basis in reality and don't make any rational sense.
