With only a $10k delta between the Dual Motor ($72k) and Premium ($82k) nobody is ordering the Dual Motor. The 2027 lead time and $10k price increase has killed sales.

Really dumb move by them IMO, but $70k is what they were asking for the RWD in the past. At least this new trim is a legit CT. It might still move some units slowly.

I don’t necessarily agree with your timeline BUT I definitely see this “upsell” e-mail being sent to all $59,990 buyers. 2027 delivery date reservation holders would be the most tempted by this offer.

Buyer incentives would include receiving their CT faster and enjoying the Premium features of adjustable air suspension, amazing 15 speaker/2 subwoofer sound system, smugglers bay in bed, heated and cooled seats, premium lighting, 20” aluminum wheels, etc.

Tesla could even sweeten the deal by allowing FSD transfer when you upgrade to the Premium model.

There’s no need to lower price. It’s already the best truck deal out there by far. Someone just tell me where else can you buy a truck with a stainless steel body, FSD, steer by wire, rear wheel steering, air suspension, or a model with 845 hp that can whip the ass of a Corvette in a quarter mile…… anyone complaining about the price simply hasn’t driven a cyber truck.

The greatest vehicle I have ever owned/ the cyberbeast / and I own Porsches, corvettes , Ferraris / and all new cars. Bought the cyberbeast to criticize it - and instead fell in love. The prices of cybertrucks over time will rise. I have no regrets buying a foundation model - the best Cybertruck ever made so far - and a bargain besides. I even used my $3000 credit to add the cyber tent to my vehicle. Waiting to try and save a few thousand dollars is just dumb.

Honestly, waiting for a discount from Tesla is kinda gambling lol, they don’t really do predictable promos like that. If demand dips you might see something, but by September it’s just as likely nothing happens. Premium over dual motor only makes sense if you actually care about the extras long term, otherwise you’re just paying for hype you’ll forget in a month. If you’re already questioning it, you probably don’t need it tbh.

You want rear wheel steering, the fabulous stereo, the air suspension, and larger tires and in and on- I love the latest generation of FSD - drove over 100 miles to a concert and the darn car drove itself up and back and parked itself in the parking lot! My cyberbeast came with lifetime FSD - but super cheap at $99 a month/ eventually inflation will force all Tesla prices higher - and wonderfully comfortable for my large and tall body- I love this vehicle— only people who say bad stuff don’t own one!
