• Does it have Baja Mode? No Off-Road modes!
• Does it have Wade Mode? Think not since we don't have a compressor or height adjustable suspension. No Off-Road modes!
• Pictures with the headlights on, and with the turn signals on in front. @TarheelCT confirmed it's just like the RWD version, i.e. no clear LED"strip" next to the headlights, just the turn signals.
• Any child seat LATCH points in the center rear seat? Not between the seat bottom and backreast but there is one up top, behind the center headrest.
• Does the SAWD come with floor mats? Does not.
• Does the SAWD have a rear seat armrest/cupholder. No, it's just like the RWD rear seat.
• Does the tailgate open and close like the Premium models (dampened open and assisted close)? Confirmed the same as the PAWD.
• What is the offset of the steel wheels? Answered in the owner's manual, same as 20" at 58.5mm
• How do we engage the front locker? If we get one at all.

When Foundation series came out I think it took a while for the lockers to be available through software. Wes wouldn’t have said it has front/rear lockers when the $59k version dropped.

That does look a little wonky and worse than the RWD videos I watched. I do like the additional leg room in the center seat though.

Can anyone highlight theheadlight differences specifically? Apart from the LED strip missing is there any other missing functionality? Any RWD owners in here?

As promised. They had a Dual Motor AWD on display couldn’t drive it. Per the sales person nobody had gotten one delivered yet (Charlotte).

I can confirm the tailgate has the assist. See video.

only set Height is medium but we knew that. No other modes like wade etc.

Lights in front look the same. No different.

no light bar when lights are on.

tried to measure the height from ground with my phone but it was very sunny so prob not as accurate.

I was Impressed with the stereo it sounded quite good. As good if not better than my ModelY with premium sound. The CT even sounded like it had some bass. There are rear door speakers (see pic).

also the tires and wheels looked very good in person. So much so I’m somewhat regretting proactively purchasing new cast forged wheels that I can’t return.

seats look and feel great the color is perfect IMO more of a darker charcoal than some of the photos I’ve seen.


after today’s visit I’m even more excited to get this thing and especially after getting the 59k deal.

Leaving the locked out height adjustment on the screen seems like the software version of a blanked out physical switch. Kind of hilarious.

It’s a constant reminder to SAWD owners that they didn’t spring for the $80k Premium version with the killer premium sound system and adjustable air suspension. Some reviewers say it’s the best sounding factory sound system available in any truck with 15 drivers and 2 subwoofers.

Agreed, I do not off-road. My kids are doctors and engineers and living in different states. I think I had people in my MYLR less than a dozen times, so rear entertainment is not worth the price. The 18" wheels look fine and are less costly to replace. I like the AWD interior. I hope it has a center rear armrest. The under-bed storage would have been nice.
