I donāt understand how a flat rate of 4.2 labor hours to R/R a defective PCS turns into a huge invoice for thousands of dollars if past the warranty period.
Is a new PCS super expensive? I would love to see an actual invoice that was paid for out of pocket by a member.
Be careful with Progressive. I found their 6 month premium to be hundreds lower on a prior vehicle that I owned so I switched.
My next 6 month premium jumped up significantly with zero claims. I feel that Progressive pulled the classic ābait and switchā tactic to lure me in.
Anyone else have...
Power Conversion System (PCS) failure seems to be the #1 reliability concern for current/future owners on this forum.
Itās too bad that accessing the defective part is such a PITA.

From everything I have researched this new $59,990 AWD trim is EXACTLY the same as the discontinued $69,990 RWD trim but Tesla added the following standard features:
-120v/240v bed outlets
-front motor and associated AWD hardware
-powered tonneau cover
It will be interesting to see many reservations convert to actual deliveries. We Americans have very low patience levels. Not many reservation holders are willing to wait 12+ months for a vehicle.
My hunch is that many reservations were made ājust in caseā to lock in the low $59,990 price...
The $11k delta will have buyers thinking twice about choosing the AWD Standard vs. Premium.
Many buyers value the adjustable air suspension, premium sound system with 2 subs, ventilated seats, smugglers bay, 20ā alloy wheels, rear screen, etc.
Elon giveth, Elon taketh away.
I predict Tesla will see some reservation holders not following through thanks to this newest FSD fiasco. Owners value the free FSD transfer to get into a new Tesla.
MSRP predictions for tomorrow:
-AWD Standard $63,990
-AWD Premium $74,990
-Cyberbeast $89,990
Exactly what I am hoping for so late in 2026. š¤ for a 2027 model.
Does anyone know what month 2026 models started production? Tesla used to start in the beginning of the following year but have since modified their policy.
I just got home from visiting my local Tesla showroom and I thought I would share some timeline news.
The Tesla manager assured me that $60k CT deliveries will start in the fall, not early summer. He couldn't explain why and he admits that corporate often keeps associates in the dark until...
Exactly. This confirms that the premium price was the #1 barrier to CT ownership.
Millions viewed the 2019 Cybertruck reveal and left a $100 deposit. They knew the production versions polarizing styling would be very close to the concept. Why didnāt they follow through? New MSRPās that were 60%...
Regarding parts. I would agree with you decades ago but virtually all auto manufacturers have copied Toyota with JIT logistics. The plant knows exactly how many vehicles they will build each day/week and suppliers ship parts accordingly. Tesla is a vertically integrated company which helps...
100% saw this coming because of demand. Tesla leadership didnāt even need 10 days before they announced a price hike. It's effective this Sunday, March 1st.
$62,490 on March 1st Is my prediction AND they cancel the $1k referral code on CT orders.
