I wanted to remove the brownish patina at the edges of the doors:
Thought I could get away just doing the two doors:
CitriSurf77 worked great but I guess I'm not done:

I think I finally figured out the recipe to create a matching finish for SS parts. In another thread, I shared a 3d model for mirror delete covers but struggled to get the 306 stainless steel to match the CT exterior. The trick was to first bring the surface almost to a mirror finish. Working...
I get asked a lot by friends and friends of friends for a tour of the truck. They hear all the FUD but know me well enough to figure there must be something more to it. I try to be a good EV ambassador but always come away forgetting to mention at least one cool feature. So I decided to keep...
Tesla chose not to offer a 48V receptacle. I kinda wished they did so folks would have a standard plug to add to 48V accessories. I am considering adding the 48V golf cart charging receptacle below to my frunk to use for inverters, air compressors, etc. This seems good because it is readily...
I want to tap into the A-pillar harness (PN 1682255-00-F) at the connector below the trim (don't want to splice wires). Looks like a 2x7 arrangement. Anyone know the Molex(?) part number just for the connector?
I find it difficult to open the sun visor extender so I designed and printed this model to make it super-convenient. Can print two in 20 minutes.
Model can be found here:

OK. This is one of my more goofy projects considering you can buy a backup camera for $100. However, it works. Basically it solves the problem of not having a rearview camera when the tailgate is down. I experienced this when I was carrying a full sized bed with the tonneau cover down. I...
A bit of a joke - I know the service centers do great jobs often. It's just we tend to only hear the negative stories. So I wanted to post my great experience this morning I had with the service center on Hampton Ave. in Mesa, AZ. When I took delivery. I noticed a *deep* scratch where it...
Just wanted to share that 6qt Sterilite ClearView storage boxes fit two stacks of micro fiber cloths perfectly and fit nicely in the frunk.
I feel like I can't even leave one fingerprint on this truck right now with all the attention and haters looking for anything to trash talk about...
Several times now over the last couple weeks, while sitting at a light, the rear will suddenly drop maybe 1/2 to 1 inch, bounce a couple times, and be still. I've only noticed it at lights but maybe it happens while driving. At first I thought it was because I had it in Beast mode and maybe...
UPDATE:
I don't know if anyone else printed the metal version of the mirror delete covers. I designed and uploaded a new trim version (_v4) which I think looks better. It extends the trim taper all the way to the edge of the door instead of stopping at the edge of the cover.
ORIGINAL POST...
Diamond sandpaper is very good at removing the sharp edges around the grab points. Unlike diamond files, it can flex to get into corners and gives a more rounded profile. This steel really is HFS - even with the diamond media it still takes a bit of elbow grease to remove the burr.
A the 2024 Shareholders Meeting, Elon stated that "later this year" they would "uncork the full HW4 capability" Makes me wonder if Tesla never allocated a single resource to making the HW3 emulation work on CT because they expected the full HW4 stack to be ready and planned to release it with...
I am still waiting for my VIN so cannot test this but I had a thought on a cheap easy way to deal with fingerprints, uneven patina, etc. Steal a page from the home builders books. Texture (knockdown, orange peel, etc) was invented to reduce the cost of home building since it hides defects...
Rear steer is one of the key features of the CT IMO. The ability to navigate parking lots and narrow roads without having to either 1) drag the rear wheel over the curb or 2) swing the front end through oncoming traffic is a huge plus.
However, I always thought the in-phase rear steer at...
I created and uploaded a model for a license plate frame including the CyberBeast Logo and optionaL text below. If you have access to a printer, let the world know what's coming!
..and am I correct to assume I can still say no and choose to keep it at delivery? I (like everyone) got low-balled on my trade-in (about $10K below CarMax's offer and $15K below private sale). However, since it will be probably at least 9 months before I get assigned a VIN for my FSCB, the...
