You all are clever and coming up with all these troubleshooting suggestions.
you'll find that setting a destination in your nav and changing the battery gauge to % is the way to go. You'll quickly learn to trust the arrival %. It is dead-on unless you drive way over the speed limit but it will adjust as you drive.

Thanks for that tip. I will re-work my brain to deal with %.

Just don't complain when it's way off showing 150 miles. :ROFLMAO:
I think it would be far worse if I were planning a trip thinking 100% meant I could easily go 200+ miles and the estimate was right that only 150 were available. I want my car to give me its best estimate of how far I can travel, not how thirsty it is. ?

When you drive, take a look at your energy app monitor (in the app list, looks like a green line chart). It includes a range estimation based on trip, current Wh/mile, and other factors like AC use that the EPA range doesn't include. See if that agrees with the EPA range. Even if it doesn't, still get a service call started if this doesn't resolve itself. They can check on your battery remotely.

I will look at that app and see what I can learn from it. I haven't used that app. THis is my first EV and I waited 5 years for it and I love it.

In winter driving I have found it to be off by more than 5% and that is a lot when Tesla is telling me to drive down to less than 10% before charging.

I am about to power recycle, set a destination of 150+ miles, and then drive to Wholefoods, which is 3 miles away.
I reset, power recycled, set to drive to SF Golden Gate from Southern California. Nav's first stop was Castaic and I would have arrived there after only 70 some miles. I did drive to Wholefoods which is about 4.5 miles away. The battery drained 4% and the remaining miles is 145. So, I am getting 1 mile per one percent :(

This too shall be fixed.

I had some glitches in software like navigation screen stuck at supercharger location for a day, full charge before a long drive was showing only 97%. But everything resolved itself the next morning.

What does the consumption screen says about the recent drive?

So the last trip was 2 miles only. Avg energy is 651wh/mi. And I have no idea what that is.

Initial mile will always show high consumption. Drive for few more miles like 5-10 just to make sure. Your overall usage is pretty reasonable. Did you check the tire pressure?

PS: I noticed you drove 4-5 miles to Whole Foods.
