This is what the Tesla app displays when the utility power is lost and the Cybertruck supplies power to the home via the Tesla wall connector and Tesla Gateway.

3 Days of energy with the truck charged to 100%. 200 amp whole house supported.. (A/C was not running at the time pic was taken.)

Nice!! Can’t wait for the firmware update to give me more capacity.

My home must be way outside the normal idle power draw. I see all these post with homes sitting at .5 kW and it amazes me. I do run a couple racks worth of network gear and servers but we sit at 1.9 to 2.1 kW idle. What do some of you use for idle power at home?

You're not the only one, my main PC draws 500W, nevermind the rest of the network/storage gear. I typically draw around 2-3kW depending on what's on. Even that is a couple days if the CT takes over.

Currently 2.5kW, yesterday when the first post dropped, it was 1.5kW.

AC just shut off. 2,300-ish when we are both working.

Our idle power draw (with central a/c off) is anywhere from 0.2 - 0.7. Usually, at 0.5.

I was at 0.2 when reading your post, and it bumped up to the usual 0.6 when I took this screenshot a minute ago.

When away traveling, with the AC off, I appear to use 24-28kWh per day, or more than 1000W!

  • Desktop computer
  • 2 HEPA filters
  • 3 Dropcams
  • 4 Echos
  • 2 TiVos
  • 3 Refrigerators (including a 1950's era Coke machine)
  • ...plus all the crap on "standby" mode

Still not as bad as "Sentry Mode" tho
