2025 Cybertruck - Are they being delivered yet?

Has anyone taking delivery or had a VIN assigned for a 2025 Cybertruck?

You can check your VIN number to see what year model it is. The 10th digit stands for the year.

R = 2024 model
S = 2025 model

Tesla normally changes year models in October or November.

My VIN is extremely recent build only just off the line and it’s still a 2024 model year so I don’t think MY25s are being made yet.

Maplewood MN now has 40xxx VINS and they are all MY24.

I think 2025 may be an inaccurate leap by Joe. Non-Foundation is just a trim option, not a model year change.
Especially since Tesla is making Canadian Foundation vehicles currently also.

I didn’t think Tesla changed model years until calendar year changed? At least that’s what they have done in the past. I did read somewhere they were going to change but as far as I know they haven’t. I took delivery of a model Y last year on Dec 27. Manufacturing date was December 14th and it was a 2023 model year.

The current Model 3 and Y are 2025 models now. They started producing those October 1st.

Tesla has never waited until the year changed except with the M3 when they planned to release the Highland. It typically happens in late Oct or Early November.
