2026 Spring Software Update has arrived - New Features:

It's even worse than that you've been able to do that for sometime now. I think we got that in the Christmas update two years ago. We were the first ones to have it. That's why someone stated that most of what we're 'getting' in this release doesn't even apply to the CT.

To clarify @dalton108 is talking about the license plate thing that CT owners has been able to do for a while, not dumb summon - I got confused initially when I read it.

It just 'downloads' in the background. Not install. You will still manually confirm to install, so you're not inconvenienced.

What? It already downloads automatically in the background when connected to Wi-Fi.

This is what Tesla should've done for CT owners:

- Smart / Dumb Summon
- Deeper Grok integration along with "Hey Grok"
- More interior light features - Blind spot, Parking Distance (Blue to Red the closer you get to objects), more colors and variations of Music Sync, and Brightness Control (Override to "MAX")
- App Store or more options: Plex, IPTV, Google Chat, Teams, X, Waze
- Create and save our own routes in Navigation
- More advanced visualization (either more assets or the Once Upon A Time Unreal Engine)
- Match Europe's Speed Limit feature
- Wiper fix (either have it on "off" to begin with or fix it once and for all)
- Parking Preference (always reverse or front-in)
- Allow passengers in the back to add, modify, or remove music / destinations from rear screen
- Lossless audio for every video/audio client
- AirPlay / Cast option (not CarPlay / Android Auto; since Tesla will never give up control)

These are just some items I was dying to see. Instead... uh.... perhaps the 24-hour dashcam is cool?

that sounds like a holiday update, they are always lighter on new features in the spring update.

Not always.
But the new update looks to install the auto-downloads - probably at 2am or when it thinks you're not likely to drive.

Auto software install may not be the best move.
Wife sends you to UPS to ship a box. You come back out and now must wait an hour for install to finish. Wife accuses you of flirting with UPS girl. *Shrugs* could happen.

This is a banger OTAU for both of my M3P and MYP
What incremental improvements for my CBs are welcome too. The following CT improvements are hard:
• Interior LED Light Strips now turn red when an object is in your blind spot and your turn signal is engaged, or when an approaching object is detected while parked.
• Weather Map Improvements: Weather maps now show snow and rain with improved colors that make it easier to distinguish between precipitation types. You can also view the past hour of weather data to see how conditions have been changing along your route.
• Your Tesla will now automatically install software updates when the option is enabled.
• Update to Trip Stats: You can now Create multiple trips to track energy stats across drives.
• You can now display your pets’s name while in Dog Mode, as well as choose different avatars.
• Dashcam Improvements: Recent Dashcam footage will now extend up to 24 hours.
• Passengers in rear seats can now view and interact with maps on the rear display while your Tesla navigates a route.
