I think you might be right. I have been holding and saving for an EV truck for 4 years and I bet many others are in the same boat. There will be amazement and disappointment tomorrow for sure. I think the hype has led to a lot of fantasy about the truck and I think it’s going to be much much simpler than many hoped for but to me that’s a really good thing. But many may jump ship in spite and pull the trigger on the other brands for sure, but Tesla has t become number one for making duds so I think once the truth settles in most people will be happy. I think the biggest is that people are price sensitive right now. They really need a 300 mi. Option near or under $60k just for optics. Like $55k would be incredible. If people only see $65k to $85k up on the screen I think its going to be create a really negative start.

Adding silicoln and 45% more cells (200kw) should get this to a 500 mile version. I suspect the 4680 supply is the main limiting factor and they just want to push out as many CT's as they can out the door until the battery supply outpaces production enough to allow the 500 mile versions to start rolling without impacting production numbers. Hopefully they still allow us to configure the 500 mile version and stay on hold .

Have you seen the CT in person? Its striking, but having seen it, i don't know how anyone could not pick that truck over the F150 and the R1T. If its priced right. I feel like it would be like choosing a Lamborghini vs a corvette at the same price point.

Tri-Motor - Beast Mode 500 mi - $93,990
No way Tesla would up the price by 34% for the specs listed in 2019. All other Tesla products are at nearly the same cost or lower than their 2019 prices.

We have a 5+ year old Model 3 that still charges to 305 miles (out of 310 miles as delivered). It has 72K miles on the odometer.

I cant believe they gave him one at all.
Knows less than zero about trucks
Youre always hating on poor mkbhd lol

He is a tech influencer with a channel dedicated to cars.

He's been in the Tesla specific game for a long time having owned multiple.

He gets tons of views

And he won the Tesla advertisement contest back in the day.

I'd say he's qualified to check it out

Not every review has to be from a truck guy. Mkbhd probably relates to more of the buyers than those channels anyway
