Guestimating but there's 10 hash marks where it says 265 mi....9 are lit...soooo...should be about 300 miles.

Keep in mind they could be testing out a dual motor standard range. I was told tri motor packs are ready for prime time...dual motor packs are not. I wouldnt be surprised if they needed to test these dual packs out for several months before they sell them.

I do believe they will have a long range packs in the tri-motor. But possibly two range packs for tri-motor to help with affordability. We will know TMR!
Maybe it goes to 11

After 4+ years on my wife's 2018 Model 3 Long Range, its hardly noticeable. Negligible. If you follow the recommendations for recharging it should be the same with the CT.

No way Tesla would up the price by 34% for the specs listed in 2019. All other Tesla products are at nearly the same cost or lower than their 2019 prices.
You're right when a Tesla vehicle comes out it's expensive...in 2019 there were barely starting to deliver model y. They only got cheaper because they built 3 new factories since then and 450k units a year.
First CT will be up at least 25% is my guess

We find out TMR!!

I hope it's less ofcourse ...but those prices were fake to begin with...they were priced to spark demand and it worked....very common bait and switch tactic.

We're going to get data in a year that "95% of cybertruck owners don't even drive 500 miles a day, so why would we build a battery pack for that" ignoring the fact that people use cars that can actually do it

The Model Y launched in 2020, not 2019. It was announced in 2019. At launch, it cost roughly the same as the announcement prices. The announcement price for the Model Y was $51,000 and that is what it launched at. They actually decreased the price very slightly in July 2020 to align trim pricing with the Model 3.

Model Y Prices did begin to increase dramatically in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID's effects on the supply lines and material costs skyrocketing. Those prices then rapidly came down in price in 2023.

photo is of a 'prerformance'/cyberbeast, so it does incidentally (to its speed) have 3 motors

but i think you're suggesting instead the possibility of "down the road" meaning some day the have something like the 2019-described "Tri Motor" long range, heavy duty, variant.

whether and how Musk tomorrow explains any of this (e.g., Nov 30's "performance" model vs the 2019 "Tri Motor" model) will be one thing I'm most interested to hear
Me too. In fact, my interest in that information dwarfs any other interest I have in the event.

What I was told by service center manager regarding degradation is ~3% the first year and ~1% every year afterwards. That has been pretty close to what my 2019 X has done since I got it new.

Just wanted to add my thoughts:

Elon mentioned 3 separate "trims" on the JRE very recently. I'm very confident that reviewer models are going to be the bottom trim. So here you go: curb your expectations, sure. But I think the following statement is extremely likely:

The lowest trim is going to be a 300 mile version.

I am fine with this, I'm not sure why everyone else is freaking out like all CTs from now until forever are built for 300 miles... Please critically think.

Wild speculation alert!!!!
There were images of a CT display with 600+ miles range. Perhaps there is some way to add auxiliary battery storage, in a trailer?
Consider how Tesla engineers ponder the larger battery problem where long range is only required rarely. It may make more sense to put the extra battery storage in the device requiring the abnormal storage requirements.

No range anxiety at all, after a few months of breathing all kinds of hype and fumes in this forum.
Who needs long range if you can use FasTrak?!

First off, we don't know what type of trim/model this truck is. Here is what was projected at the launch 4 years ago...That photo of the battery SOC is within the range of two of those three models. So why is it "Terrible"?

I really hate to see people express their "disappointment" when the truck hasn't even been unveiled yet. Undoubtedly, after the event, someone will say "I thought it was supposed to have a 1,000 mile range! That sucks!"....

I think we all need to rein in our expectations a bit and enjoy the presentation...I have every confidence that Tesla will do their best, and if there are features they couldn't do on day 1, they'll add them in when they can or when it's appropriate.

My one issue with these "X" mile ev statements is that its all a lie. A 500 Mile EV is really a 300 mile EV. 99% of people are going to charge to 80% so that 500 goes to 400. Then you are going to try to charge at 20% but at HWY speeds your going to fall 15% under EPA. So that 300 mile range is going to include eating down to 5%. Now tow with it and you can drive 150 miles . If this was an LFP or a Solid State pack then 300 might be more realistic but todays 300 is more like 180 and 90 towing.
