Detriment to already suspect range?
My highway fuel economy increased when I put 37s on my Chevy Colorado. Highway Mileage typically increases and City Mileage decreases when going to a larger diameter tire.

I would think the extra torque required to turn these (steering) would not be great on the steer by wire motors, Tesla is already struggling getting a powerful enough motor for the windshield wiper. Im sure that if it failed it wouldn’t be covered by warrenty, and even if you removed the tires before bringing it in(assuming it doesn’t fail and they have to tow it in from the side of the road) I would bet they would have a way of determining that it’s been driving with 37” tires. Also it looks awesome and I want to do it.
I'm not sure comparing a triple redundant system for steering to a windshield wiper motor is altogether valid...

Also, I have not seen any language about drivetrain warranty following aftermarket tires, only about modifying non-wear and tear parts like adding extenders, removing sway bars, etc.

I plan on sticking with the stock width as I'm very happy with the performance so far, but definitely going down to 18" wheels for more sidewall. If I attempt 37s after the stock tires wear out, I'm gonna do 285/85r18 to keep the contact patch consistent with stock.

Just open train of thought here ?
Looking forward to seeing everyone's approach to 37s and how it goes for them. Depending on how much modification is required for others, I may not do it at all until the warranty runs out ?

I’m definitely going with Method BeadGrip 707s and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs. https://www.methodracewheels.com/products/707-matte-black?variant=39783915454525
All the benefits of Bead Lock Rims in a lightweight one piece design.
Love the 37” Baja Boss ATs on my Chevy Colorado!
? !!! This is a VERY nice setup. Only thing I would change is BFG mudders since I'm a loyal fanboy of BFG ?
Also planning on 18 method bead grips, style is tbd

Admittedly....I might stay 35s... I love the look of bigger tires, but I don't actually need them even if I don't want to admit it

I’ve tried BFG ATs and Krawlers. In fact I have a set of 5 37” BFG Krawler Blue Labels I just pulled off of my Chevy Colorado with less than 1000 miles on them if anyone is interested in them? Best offer. I’m in SoCal

I’ve been waiting for the CT for years and had to replace my truck I lost in the Woolsey Wildfire 2018. Lost our Model X that same day too. Couldn’t wait for Elon and bought the Colorado in 2020 for the interim.
